“Excellent hotel”

When opting for a "luxury" hotel in Austria you run the risk of ending up in hotel which is too luxury, overdoing it in a way that becomes kitschy.
The Kaiserhof avoids this trap. It has the "right" luxury, not adverising too much that it is a high quality accommodation.
That said, it has several other features that makes it highly recommendable:
-- a quiet location
-- close to a subway station
-- with some stamina, all major points of interest can be reached on foot
-- close to the Naschmarkt, providing a wide range of affordable diner options
-- clean and spacious rooms
-- breakfast that keeps you going until at least late afternoon
So, if you look for a very good in hotel In Vienna, this is probably one of the best.

Room Tip: It depends on what you choose. Our suite was great with a separate living room with good chairs (Room...

Vacationing in Vienna is all about location, and this hotel the best one in the city.
Many hotels say that they're on the ring, or ring adjacent - this hotel is only 200m from the old city itself. The hotel entry is on a small quiet street, located in neighborhood filled with small restaurants and shops. you're also about 100m from a main hub of the public rail & bus stations - so you can spend your days exploring the city and then have a nice stroll at night on the ring itself.
I've been to Vienna quite a bit, and ever since I discovered this hotel it's my favorite :)
This is not a cheap hotel to spend your nights in, but it's worth the extra money you'll spend.
A lot of the hotels on the ring do not feel safe at night, this one does. You can go out for a meal even late at night (by Vienna standards - they close shops quite early ...).

The rooms in the hotel are great, they're not too small , not too big - just the right size. look at the photos I've uploaded and judge for yourself. The breakfast menu changes on a daily basis so you always have good options.
The staff is very friendly and speaks English fluently.

Bottom line - it's worth spending the extra money, go there - I do :)

Room Tip: there's no view worth asking for, but get the junior suite - it's a small upgrade (about 10...

Excellent is the only way to describe this hotel. We stayed 15 years ago in the middle of renovations and were impressed then, even with the noise. This time just exceeded our expectations and most would know sometimes it is best not to go back, but this was just superb. As I said better this time than the first, a definite when we return to an absolutely wonderful city, Vienna.

We had emailed the hotel to request an airport pick-up, and as promised the taxi was waiting for us at arrivals. The journey took about 20 minute and our research indicated it was very competitively priced.
Check in, and out, was very smooth. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a safe and well stocked mini bar in the room as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was the usual European selection of hot and cold dishes, cereals and pastries.
We found the staff extremely friendly, especially Barbara in the bar, who was most helpful suggesting places for us to go and eat.
Lovely quiet hotel in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk from many of the visitor attractions of Vienna. The Karlskirche is approx 3 mins walk, the Opera House about 5 mins walk, The Belvedere Palace and Hofburgh Imperial Palace and St Stephens Cathedral all approx 10 mins walk, and there is plenty of shopping close by. Everything else is easily accessible via the excellent public transport system, and we definitately recommend buying a Vienna Card which you can purchase at the hotel.
We wouldn't hesitate to come back to the Kaiserhof Wein, if we return to visit Vienna again.

This hotel is in an ideal location, 3 blocks away from the Opera, and in addition, you can walk to most places in old town. The hotel was good, but the internet service is not up to standards, as you need to log in every time you need to use your computer, or iPad. It seems unbelievable that in this day and age wi fi service should not function seamlessly in a hotel in a city as advanced as Vienna.
The rooms are confortable, the bathrooms are small but clean. Breakfast service is excellent, and staff are polite and helpful.

Excellent breakfast range which differed slightly on a daily basis allowing you to sample a variety of foods.Music of a morning set a serene atmosphere.Daily weather report and suggestion of a sightseeing activity is a great idea. Pleasant library/sitting room area.
Definitely recommend a stay at the Kaiserhoff.
