For many years we have stayed at Hotel Das Tigra when in Vienna and January of 2012 was once again a pleasant experience. Located centrally in Vienna one can easily walk to the old city and fabulous sights and sounds. Staff is always most helpful in every way. Usually we have them set up a tour outside the city at some point and they are knowledgeable as to best tours and resources.

This is a hotel which delivers what I want: clean, comfortable, quiet and a good location. No fuss, no problems. It is very central and I was able to walk to six different locations where I had meetings. There are no fancy frills: forget about spa treatments and turn down services. This place just gets all the basics right. Breakfast buffet offered plenty of variety. The staff are helpful. If you want a bath, you will be out of luck: seems to be showers only.

For those who are not looking for a funcy 5 star luxury hotel, Best Western Das Tigra is a very good choice. Ideal location in the city center, within walking distance from the major sights of the Historic Vienna center and a few minutes from the metro station. Hotel staff was friendy, breakfast had a sufficient variety and our room / bathroom were mobern and clean. We will definitely come back!

Location is great, breakfast very good and service was very friendly. Rooms were very comfartable with nice bathroom and excellent beds also for those with back problems -:)

If you visit Vienna for a weekend and want to be close to everything while getting good value for money, a very good choice indeed. Vienna itself of course a great destination, almost "an open air museum" as such and by just walking around you get a great sense of history, surrounded by beautiful buildings. Concerts, especially Mozart by Musikverein, an absolute must attend...................................would warmly commend Vienna and also Das Tigra hotel as the basis for city exploration.

After a 2 week river boat cruise, we stayed here in Vienna to explore this fascinating city. The hotel's location in the Old Town made access to all the highlights so easy, St.Peter's church, St.Stephen's Dom, the Hapsburgs' many palaces, and the Opera House were all just a few minutes walk from this hotel. After a delicious buffet bkfst at the hotel, we explored and had lunch at sidewalk cafe's, heard an organ recital in St.Peter's, explored some more then enjoyed a lovely dinner in an intimate restaurant with brick walls, candles, and wine. And walking back to the hotel was safe and pleasant. We loved Vienna's architecture and the hotel's excellent location.
