“Lovely staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

We stayed in this hotel in December before a Danube cruise. The location is a little out of the way if you're in Vienna to see the sights, though it's easy to get to on the metro as long as you know where you're going! It's a few minutes' walk from the nearest station on a road designed for cars, not people - it took us a while to figure out where the entrance was! We had to walk over a bridge to get to it. It didn't help that we arrived in the dark on a freezing cold, icy night. Tip: there's a nice shortcut through a residential development which we discovered the next day which is quicker than the main road.
Once we were there, however, we had an excellent stay. The staff are extremely polite and helpful - our suitcase had been broken by the airline, and they directed us to a shopping centre (very handily close by) where we were able to buy a cheap replacement. They then gladly took away the old one for us. They also let us leave our bags there the next day after we checked out at no extra charge while we explored the city.
We had arrived late due to problems with our flight but the restaurant was still open and the staff couldn't have been more attentive and friendly, and the food was great, plentiful and not unreasonably priced. The little hotel bar was a pleasant place to chill out, too, again with friendly staff.
We had booked a standard room but it was absolutely huge and quiet even though it overlooked the road (we were offered a room with a river view, but for a higher rate.) The bed was very comfortable so we slept really well. Breakfast was included and also very nice with a lot of choice.
We were unlucky with the weather (as we stayed in the middle of winter) and were also only there one night, so we didn't get to explore the river side of the hotel, though it is meant to be beautiful and another good feature of this hotel and I'm assurred the views are super. Regardless, I'd recommend this hotel for its huge rooms, reasonable rates and wonderful staff.

Room Tip: Staff tried to charge extra for a room with a river view, but the room we had was lovely regardless...

Excellent hotel - clean, good standard of accommodation. Excellent breakfast - lots of choice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great view of Danube from bar area. Be aware there is a surcharge for river views from bedrooms.

Walking distance (10 mins) to the Messe exhibition centre. Perhaps not as convenient if you want to hang out in the centre of town but still only a short taxi ride to the main areas. Most of guests seemed to be staying on business.

Room Tip: I had a corner suite on 2nd floor at no extra charge - great views of river, two double beds, very q...

I stayed here twice and enjoyed both times. The views are fantastic, the rooms beautifully appointed, and immaculate. The food was good and so was the cocktail area. The area on the river was very charming, but the exit out of the front door was a bit hectic. It led you out into a driveway across from the road.

This Hilton hotel was really a good Choice in Vienna, although itis not in the middle of the City. Itis located bit outside from it, directly at the Danube River - with a very nice view to it! Room was pretty large and nice Interiour there. Room was clean.Breakfast Service had much choices and we liked it very much! Also there was a top Service at their Restaurant, where we have been two times.

You must stay at this hotel in Vienna. The room was great, and the service was phenomenal. We had a wonderful family vacation. This hotel is close enough to everything you need to see, and was easy to get in and out of by car. The staff at this hotel made all the difference in the world. Although we are diamond, and have high expectations at Hiltons, the staff at this hotel well exceeded our expectations. I wish I could be treated this way in all hotels in Europe.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Vienna Danube and I would rate it very highly. The hotel is beautiful and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The bed was great and the lighting was very good. Ample outlets for all of my electronics and wifi for 3 devices which was great. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The only thing is if you want to be near the city center, this is not the place for you. I took the metro in which was easy, but it is a distance and a cab ride is at least 15 euros. This is definitely a very comfortable hotel and I will stay there again.

Large room, great customer service, and comfortable.
We stayed 6 nights right during Christmas. We chose a Double Queen Room that overlooked the Danube. It was a perfect fit for our family of four (with boys ages 12 and 16). There was ample space between the two queen beds, there was a sofa, coffee table, and desk with lots of room. The amenities in the bathroom were great. The bathroom is huge and several people can get ready at the same time. My recommendation is the faucet should be closer to the vessel so that the water doesn’t go all over the counter-top. The body scrub they offer is so lovely and smells delicious. You will find a robe, slippers, hair dryer, and safe in the closet. There were plenty of outlets placed around the room for charging phones, iPads, and laptops. Another suggestion would be to have an outlet near the area where one would plug in the kettle. We purchased the WIFI in a package and that saved a little money. If you don’t want to do this, there are several places in the lobby where there is free WIFI.

The beds were very comfortable with high thread count sheets, wonderful pillows and luxurious towels. They delivered more pillows and towels upon request quickly.

We ordered room service many times and enjoyed each meal. They had plenty of condiments and anticipated what we might need.

We had the breakfast each morning in the dining room….excellent! There was a wide variety of choice in buffet style, for example: eggs prepared several ways, potatoes, variety of meats, baked tomatoes, baked beans, fresh fruit, oatmeal, dry cereal, variety of breads, yogurts cold cuts with variety of cheeses, juices, teas, coffee, water. Our server brought us cappuccinos, hot chocolates and French toast every day. I can’t remember our server’s name, but she really made our stay personable. She has worked at this particular Hilton for 20 years and we felt that she sought us out each morning. She was efficient, friendly, and a main reason for us to return to this Hilton. We had the Christmas Eve Buffet in the dining room and it was elegant. The menu choice was interesting and yummy.

This hotel is well positioned for catching the train…quick 7 minute walk and there is a little mini market store on the way. Also, we needed a cab several times and the hotel handled everything for us…we never had to wait. At the end of our trip, we stayed an additional night before flying out. We had a rental car and we parked it down on the street near the mini market for free…quick 2 minute walk back to the hotel. If you park on the hotel property, there is a charge for it.

Room Tip: We chose a room over-looking the Danube...window opens completely for fresh air and views.
