We were disappointed in the lobby (being a bar).
It was very, very noisy the night we arrived. We were met at the train station by
arrangements made before we arrived. These were young women, who were BOTH
equally surprized at the lobby. We didn't like the dark halls (black, I think) - the girls
were both creeped out by this. However, the room was comfortable, small, but
comfortable. We were there 2 nights and found the toiletries totally insufficient. The room
was quiet.
The bed was comfortable. I would not return to the Pentahotel. It is so untypical of
what you might expect in Vienna. Also, left postcards there for delivery --- never received
by any of the recipients.

Stayed there for three nights from 24/25/26 October. Special offer: Euros 78/84/78 (The middle price was a Saturday).
The reception/bar is something we had never seen before in a hotel, and we thought it was great. Also the free internet access, great seating, a very large screen for sports, and a full-size pool table.
The room was for smokers (we are, but only smoked in the room next to the open window), and there was a vending machine next to the lift which sold beer! They also have room service, which is more than just sandwiches. We had a special offer of breakfast for 11 Euros, which was good.
The bus to the city (a lot faster than the U-Bahn) is literally just two minutes around the corner on Schönbrunnerstrasse. The bus back stops 45 seconds from the front door.

Will definitely go there again.

Room Tip: Sixth floor if you're a smoker.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights in October. We loved the trendy décor, the wonderfully comfortable beds and pillows, and the quietness of the rooms. Although the Hotel seemed pretty full, we didn't hear any noise at all from other guests. The rainfall showers are fantastic, so relaxing, and the toiletries are ample and of good quality. To get to the town it is only about 20 minutes pleasant walk, or a quick ride on the Metro or bus. Even to get to the airport, it is one change, takes less than a hour, depending on connections, and costs €.4.20.
The staff are very welcoming, and manage to combine reception and bar duties with ease.
Breakfast is very good, and lots of choice, being kept topped up all the time. It keeps you going for the day! We had Cava too!

Room Tip: our room on the 5th floor was nice and spacious. quiet too.

A two years old gastro-hotel concept with quite interesting ideas and decoration..Lobby&Reception&Restaurant makes the daily life easier..Good location close to metro..Taxi costs around 10 euros to center..Rooms are ok and spacious, but the beds could be more comfortable.(sleep quality can be a problem!!).Breakfast is perfect and very rich sorted..Sundays till 11:00 and late check-out possible..Very friendly and helpful staff ..Internet costs 5.50 a day and not working properly..It can be claimed back easily...

Room Tip: Ask the bed&cushion quality...you may get a twin bed just put together..The cushions need to be replaced..too soft and uncomfortable..

Stayed here for 3 nights in mid August. Thought it was a well located hotel with a great bar. Loved the room, and en-suite bathroom. Looked great, and both were very spacious. Not sure if all rooms had one, but we had a balcony too.
We didn't eat in the restaurant, so I can't comment on the standard of food, however, if it was in-keeping the rest of the place, i'd imagine it to be pretty good. The staff were very helpful too. On arrival the guy at the desk/bar helped us pretty much plan our entire stay, showing us must-see places and places to eat on a map. If I ever came back to Vienna I wouldn't think twice about staying here - it's close to a metro station, and two metro stops from the central tourist ring.
