We took a taxi to this property from the Vienna airport at approx 50 Euros. Strangely, the return taxi when we were leaving to go back to the airport was only 32 Euros. This hotel is on the border of the outskirts of Vienna. However, the center of Vienna is easily reached by train in about 20 minutes. The train station is just across the street via a couple of minute walk. If you plan to visit Vienna for more than 2 days, then look into a Vienna pass which includes trains, buses and entrance discounts to attractions. We didn't get it because we only were siteseeing for 1 day before renting a car to drive to Croatia.

We had our 2 year old daughter with us and there is a fantastic park about a block from the hotel and a pretty walk at that on a nature trail. The park is huge with so many things for kids to do including a small zipline - and all is free.

As for the hotel....it was clean and cute. The free breakfast was fantastic and many choices of cheese, meet slices, yogurts, bread, cereals, fruit, coffee and juices. They also make to order your choice of eggs.

Wolfgang was very professional and helpful for our needs. The 2nd day were were there, I was asking his advice for how to get to Vosendoerf to pick up our rental car at Sixt. He had the idea to call Sixt and have them bring the car to me. I hadn't thought of that option and Sixt didn't charge me for that.

The hotel locks its doors at around 10pm (possibly earlier). When we returned to the hotel after our Croatian portion of our vacation, we arrived at around 10pm and the hotel was dark and all doors locked. But my husband just rang the bell and within 1 minute a man came to the door to let us in check in. Shortly after that, another family checked in as well.

The hotel itself is charming and the reason why I chose it because I didn't want to stay in the center of Vienna because this hotel (from reviews) seemed like a more relaxed location. And the beautiful park was so close.

The only recommendations I have for management of this hotel is to consider getting air conditioning units in the rooms and put screens on the windows. Two of the three nights were were there were very hot and the room was stuff. So once we opened the window, we had mosquitos in the room. I would have liked to keep the windows closed because any noise on the street below (from voices to the heels of women walking by) echoed loudly and woke me up. The street is overall quiet but every now and then you'd have a person walking by talking on the cell phone and that was enought to wake me up. I prefer keeping the windows closed and the Air conditioning would have made it possible.

We ate outside the first night (a Saturday) when they had a wonderful, live Jass band that filled up with locals. When we arrived to get a table (we were tired from a long flight from the US), we were told there were no available tables because of the band. The lady kindly then talked to her manager (Wolfgang) who arranged to have an additional table put in for us. The food was good but pricey for what you got and because of the horrible US Dollar exchange to the Euro.

If we come to Vienna again, we will definitely stay here again as it suited all of our needs. Thank you Hotel Stasta for your accommodations.

With easy access to a major public transit hub (3 minute walk), the location of this hotel is unbeatable. Add a charming, very clean atmosphere and friendly, fluently English speaking staff and this hotel can only be characterized as having excellent value. We spent 5 days at this hotel and would gladly return. We have since referred friends to this hotel, each of whom has advised us that their experience reflects our own.

We went there for 4 days. 2 adults and our 10 yrs old daughter. Our daughter stayed for free in the room. The small hotel is lead and managed by a family in the 4th generation. It has a very personal atmosphere and you get good value for your money. The hotel is situated at the southern border of the city of Vienna. So you rather feel like being in a small town than in a big city. A local train takes - every 15 minutes - you into the very center of the city in about 20 minutes. A taxi to the center costs about 17 €. The rooms are fine, spacious, quiet and clean. The staff is friendly and the award-winning restaurant serves delicious Austrian kitchen. There are a lot of locals who just come to eat. We found nothing to complain about. Maybe nothing or you if you need high-life around the clock - but otherwise a real good address to stay.
