Comparing to the other hotels I have stayed in Europe before, the service provided by Eurostar is reasonable. Our travel package booked this hotel for us as the place to stay in Vienna. IMHO, its room is big (European standard), reasonably clean and furnished with modem facilities. Its location is convenient and is about a 10- 15 minutes walk away from the U6 Alser Subway station.
The staff is pretty helpful but at times seems impatient.
I don't know much about the European Hotel Star Rating System but I will say this is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It's more like a 2-3 star hotel.
Due to the way the hotel rooms are structured, elevator access is provided to all floors but only a limited number of room can access it directly. For the reminder rooms, once you get to your floor, you may have to haul your luggage down and up a flight of stairs (same floor) before you can get to your room. This is extremely inconvenient especially if you are traveling with someone requires disability access.
Make sure you book a room next to the elevator!
