We have stayed twice in this hotel and both times the weather in Vienna has been very hot. The hotel is beautiful and on excellent location. Atmosphere takes you back to "good old times". Facilities are good except the fact that only few Executive Rooms have airconditioning and without it during hot weather it is almost impossible to sleep during nights. Any other time of year I would recommend this hotel for its history. Breakfast is expensive as in all hotels in Vienna, from 20 euros per person per day. You get nice business breakfast from any of the nice cafes in Vienna for less than 10 euros per person.

Room Tip: During hot summer weather, make sure you have air condition in your room.

"This is my worst experience in a hotel. With no Ac and tempetures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit that room was like a sauna during the day and night. This company should do something about the ac or literally they just should close for summer.

This hotel is conveniently located on a nice pedestrian area in Vienna and is a short walk from a number of things a tourist would want to see, including two nearby subway stops. The staff are friendly and help, even to the point of sending me an e-mail with options of transport from the airport with instructions and all. The hotel and rooms are modern, but there is no air conditioning. This is the only thing that kept me from giving the hotel a higher rating. They do provide small oscillating fans, but this is something you may want to consider if you're visiting in July or August. I stayed in July and slept on top of the sheets. Wifi is free.

In the heart of Vienna, this hotel is as central as you can get.
It does come with the usual pitfalls of old hotels in city centres; no air conditioning and some city noise during tourist hours but that is the worst of it.
We were lucky to have a small balcony so with the doors open and a fan supplied by the hotel we got by. To be fair we are in the hottest weather, approx. 30C so much of the time AC is not a problem. Rooms are comfortable and staff extremely helpful. Highly recommend it!

As alot others here have pointed out there is no AC in the rooms (atleast not the one I had and I think that was a business room).

Apart from that the hotel is right in the middle of it, so it has an exellent location. My room was also very spacious and nice (but very old style). The bathroom was big with a tub (that leaked water all over the floor when showering).

Breakfast and staff was very nice.

Room Tip: I think avioding one of the rooms towards the busy main street (Karntner street) could be a good idea. A colleague of mine had a room that way and it got quite loud in the night with ppl passing by etc.
