For the activities we were going to undertake in the 5 days we stayed in Vienna, Hotel Sacher Wien was absolutely perfect as perfect can be: watch La Traviata @the Vienna State Opera on our first night, then the ballet "Sylvia", attend the Johann Strauss & Mozart concert @the Kursalon concert hall, shopping and dining along Stephansplatz, visiting Stephansdom ~ Vienna's Cathedral, viewing renowned Impressionistic paintings @the Albertina museum, watch the training of the Lippizaner horses @The Spanish Riding School, sample the famous Sachertorte @our hotel's Café Sacher Wien without queuing outside...So ten-out-of-ten on Hotel Sacher Wien's location.
Second was the topnotch service especially of the Filipino staff of the hotel. Special mention goes to Jojo @the Café Sacher Wien, who unflappably got all the chaotic orders of a very hungry group of 12 right, while giving us some tidbits of interesting information about the hotel and the area around us, fielding our questions with aplomb. Then there was the first-rate service of Housekeeping, not only attending to every detail of my scribbled notes taped to our bathroom mirror asking for this or that, but also keeping our room immaculately clean, always with warm smiles.
Third was Concierge ~ ever-ready to cater to our whims for transportation, visits, restaurants, private tours, advice of any kind with the patience of Job and the knowledge of Solomon. Kudos!
Last but not least were our elegant chandeliered rooms (with five-star amenities and toiletries, lovely turn-down service, etc.), splendid lobby, restaurant(s) and their beautiful furniture and splendid surroundings.
Hotel Sacher Wien is pretty way up there, in my humble opinion, of a hotel that delivers dreamy surroundings and dedicated service, exceeding my expectations and making our stay a truly, TRULY memorable one. Thank you!
