Stayed here for a long weekend. The location is good - a nice easy walk into the city centre and close to many museums and lots of shopping. The room itself (an M+) was very small and unclear what the difference was between an M and M+. Room was quiet, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom but very little space even for carry-on size cases and no real amenities.

Staff were pleasant but not particularly helpful. The tips given by the 'concierge' were pretty useless and she failed to point us in the right direction given our questions. All seemed to have a too cool for school attitude.

Decor is quirky, and we liked that and the bar on the roof is fun. Restaurant on the first night was nice but we had a much better breakfast for half the hotel price at one of the cafes recommended in the room.

Overall, it's a good hotel in the sense that it is different but if it tried harder (i.e. better staff knowledge, slightly larger rooms, bigger bath towels etc) it could be far better than average.

Is on the third night of five at the hotel.
I agree with most of the other positive comments and suggestions for adjustments.
One really annoying experience, however is that the staff on several occasions, virtually bursted in to my room after only one knock. Please, a bit privacy!

Thank mith101

This hotel is quirky beyond measure, just tipping the balance from charming and amusing to annoying and distracting. While I can't fault the general amenities (see all the 4* ratings for service, cleanliness, etc.), the overall design details compete for your attention and don't necessarily complement each other.

I was there with a large group (about 180 of us all told), so I'll give the hotel credit for being able to handle large numbers of visitors at once (though the same could not be said of the lifts).

The bed was very comfortable although it was just a little high to climb into (IMHO). I think this is so people can slide their suitcases underneath the bed if they wish.

The in-room safe was a joke. It is so small you could only store a phone and a wallet and a passport. That's it. Not even big enough to secure a laptop or iPad. This really needs to change.

Air conditioning / heating is so noisy it sounds like a small plane is taking off outside the door. And the controls are not super-intuitive. I gathered that setting it to '0' would stop it (which it did after about a half hour).

No complaints about the bathroom, and actually the under-floor heating control is a nice touch.

So all in all, it functioned as a hotel even if I had to take extra steps to secure my laptop (which I couldn't use the WiFi on very often). I would consider returning if I got a really good rate perhaps, but would not go out of my way to recommend.

Room Tip: Avoid room 304 if you plan to use WiFi. Also, it takes a really good shove to make sure the door is...

At last a hotel that's not boring! Lovely atmosphere and design. Friendly staff (some were not 100% focused apparently - a blond girl member of the reception staff saw us arriving at the reception when we came to check in - we were standing in front of her - she looked at us and went back to her computer without saying hello or anything - so we didn't feel too welcomed at first, but at least there was a couple helpful and kind guys at the reception).
We had a M+ Room: very comfy: don't take it for more than a long week-end - specially with 2 or more suitcases - you might be a bit cramped in there. Excellent bed. Very comfortable and heavy feather duvet and fluffy pillows: not good if you have allergies. Room was very clean and felt new; great bathroom with everything one would need in a bathroom.
Great breakfast but a bit over priced at 17 EUR.

So it's a great hotel: we will go back for sure. Next time I won't show such patience with unprofessional staff. Good thing some were excellent.

My friend and I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend in Vienna and were really impressed with everything. Great food in the downstairs restaurant, lovely rooftop bar and the staff were great. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to stay in a hotel with personality!

It's in a great location in the heart of the city, staff were all bilingual and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay in a very clean and cool stylish room. A suggestion would be to have a kettle and hot drinks making ability as a British person I yearned for my cuppa! The roof top bar was very cool and very popular so having to coolest bar in Vienna at your disposal was great!

The hotel is near U Bahn and Tram, few minutes walk from city center. Fanny rooms, wonderful lobby with original design and furniture. Forget teh "usual" hotels, here you are inside a "strange place". To be experienced!

Room Tip: choose the bigger ones
