Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

It's in a great location in the heart of the city, staff were all bilingual and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay in a very clean and cool stylish room. A suggestion would be to have a kettle and hot drinks making ability as a British person I yearned for my cuppa! The roof top bar was very cool and very popular so having to coolest bar in Vienna at your disposal was great!

The hotel is near U Bahn and Tram, few minutes walk from city center. Fanny rooms, wonderful lobby with original design and furniture. Forget teh "usual" hotels, here you are inside a "strange place". To be experienced!

At the restaurant my experience is just to wait for an hour that someone will serve us with some drinks and something to eat. After this period anyone I think would leave the place! It's a shame, because they have a very nice view, that you could've enjoyed.

We chose this hotel not only because of the good location and positive reviews, but because it seemed to be a bit different from most hotels in Vienna. The decor is funky and fun, the rooms were well-appointed, clean and quiet (with heated floors in the bathroom!), and the staff was more than helpful and über friendly.
Breakfast was one of the best I've had in Europe, but as it's a bit pricey at 17 euros per person, try to book it in the room rate to get a deal. The pizza in the 1500 Foodmakers restaurant had a crust among the best I've had and ranks right up there with those in Italy.
WiFi worked well in our room on the second floor. And take advantage of the free bikes!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view!

All I really want from a hotel for a quick weekend stopover is a decent bed, a quiet room and a clean bathroom. This hotel ticks all the boxes, but it is so much more! (The room was small, but the bathroom was lovely and the bed was fantastic!) The whole hotel is "mad" and obviously designed with a lot of laughter. I promise, if you like funky weird hotels, this is just perfect! We just kept smiling at funny details here and there (check out the "book shelves" in the restaurant...)

Oh, and our wifi was just fine.

Also, the location is spot on. You really couldn't ask for a much better place to stay with close proximity to everything. The restaurant served fantastic food at a reasonable price. Breakfast cost 17 euros, but it is worth every penny! The service was also great. (Which can't be said about the rest of the waiters etc we had the pleasure of meeting in this beautiful city). We didn't bother with the rooftop bar. One looke at the long queue of "cool" and "hip" randy, drunk people was enough to turn us off. Sorry, not my cup of tea.

So all in all, a great hotel, a great stay, great value, a friendly atmosphere and a great location. Will return some day!

Room Tip: We had the cheapest room category. It might be a bit small if you're staying more than a few nig...

For sure, one of the most special hotel I have ever stayed.
The design is unique. I stayed there for 2012 Xmas holidays. The room was exceptional. I have to mark here that it was one of the front rooms, which means that the view was breathtaking.
The breakfast was really good. If you combine it with the great roof-top "living room-bar/restaurant-breakfast room" the result is fantastic.
The personnel was very friendly and helpful.
I think that the mini-bar (serving Nespresso too...) was quite expensive.
The price of the room is a thing that we could debate all day long. A very special hotel, have very "special" prices. Moreover you are in Vienna. Moreover its Xmas period. Well...I do not complain.Overall I am fully satisfied. I would recommend it, definitely...

Room Tip: Front rooms have a breathtaking view. If you go for joking, in the reception they provide you with...

Have been in this hotel two nights and have been unsuccessful at getting the wifi working in my room. It works in reception but that it. Complained and nothing appears to be have done. Also had had a cold shower two days in a row -- shower #1 was at 9:30am yesterday and shower #2 at 7am today so apparently the time of the shower makes no difference.
