The hostel has opened earlier this year, so everything is brand new.
I was with three more friends, and we had a room to ourselves with a bathroom for us.
The room was huge and very good. Bathroom is also fantastic. The hostel is also really clean.
Staff knows a lot about the city, and there are a lot of guides and books about Vienna around the reception area. There are lots of computers around reception that can be used, but one must pay for it (not too expensive); there is also free wifi.
There is breakfast for guests for about three euros, and it is quite good. There is also a bar that gets quite crowded in the night, but we couldn't hear it at all from our bedroom.
Location is fantastic, about two minutes walking from the subway station!

I stayed at Wombats in Vienna as some friends had stayed at their location in Berlin where I live and it seemed to be a really good standard. The room was great and modern wtih nice furnishings, bed and bathroom and the location was excellent (Naschmarkt - great outdoor market with some restaurants and bars and 10 minutes walk from the centre). There was free wifi in the lobby and breakfast for a small fee that was worth it. My only other comment was that the hostel is more aimed at early 20s travelling around europe and looking to party... meaning the environment is a bit hectic at times and maybe not good if you are looking for peace and quiet, but for us it was fine.
PARKING - If arriving by car like us, you have to park outside the central zone, its free if you can find any of the side streets that dont have pay parking, but means a little trek to get to the hostel after parking.

Extremely clean, friendly and helpful staff, and they get everyone to quiet down at night (travelers need their sleep!). I had an amazing time staying here for 3 nights. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great location as well. Great breakfast.

Pros:
1. great location across the road from metro, and the market which meant unlimited choice when it came to eating and drinking
2. hostel is almost brand new, SUPER clean, clean sheets, spotless ensuite bathrooms, comfortable beds, lockable storage, security was top notch
3. good bar downstairs and breakfast was good value

Cons:
1. no wifi in the rooms, only downstairs in lobby, bar area
2. no AC, rooms can get really really hot and stuffy, most rooms had a small fan but not all

Awesome hostel, i would not hesitate to stay there again!
