I got long list of recommended Historic Cafe in Vienna but not Cafe Central!
My husband insisted to go here because of the long queue outside the Cafe. We paid at least €4.50 for a Sacher Torte and it was dry and not great at all!
Everything else is just touristy, crowded and hectic.
No worries, there are thousands of coffee shops in Vienna can offer better service, better Sacher Torte and better price

A great cafe in Vienna with a real sense of history! The atmosphere was great and took you back in time - the pianist was very talented and added to the experience. The food was great, the coffee marvellous and then the desserts!

My friend and I came here twice to have lunch. Their vegetarian goulash is actually really good and I would recommend it, especially for the vegetarians. It's also quite filling, making it just enough space for one dessert.

Do yourself a favour and order the Sisi Punschkrapfen (rum pastry, candied violet) :)
We shared one, but you can definitely order it for one person. It's honestly the only reason we came back, because we wanted more. One of the best desserts I have tasted in a long time.

Their fruit salad and croissant is also quite good.

The interior is also lovely. Great for photos.

We stumbled on this place when we were looking for another building. Old world charm on the inside. We had very good service and the coffee was excellent. You are welcomed near the entrance with an array of cakes and pastries which all look fantastic. Almost too much choice. Bonus was; my wife is Coeliac but also had a couple of choices, which meant we could both enjoy excellent coffee and cake. Didn't think it was too expensive but you are paying for the whole experience. we would recommend this place for a visit.

Beautiful deco inside, historic building. A wide range of cakes and coffee. They also serve all kind of breakfast and lunch. It's a must do during your stay in Vienna.
