The concept of Wein & Co is unique for Vienna, you have a wine bar and shop in one, long opening hours and always good visited. Very popular for afterwork drinks, Friday's also a DJ at the evening. Enjoy!

Just across the famous Naschmarket. Great wines and a nice atmosphere. Good place to have a drink before dinner. They also serve small snacks.

There's a huge selection of wine at this retail shop and wine bar, but it's not well set up to try or learn about Austrian wines. The wine bar staff was not very welcoming and assumed that when I asked about 'trying' Austrian wines that I was trying to get something for free, when in fact my friends and I were more than happy to pay. The by-the-glass selection to drink there is not terribly impressive, nor is it local -- there are only a handful of wines by the glass, and these include American and Italian wines. There is a small free tasting selection in the retail shop, but the selection is just a few cheap Austrian wines. The amount of local wines for sale is impressive, but all of the information about them is only in German, and the staff is so sparse that even though they are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when they do have time to help you, they are mostly stuck behind the counter on the cash register, so we had to wait around for quite a while before we could get any advice. I understand that not all venues are for tourists but was still disappointed by how Wein & Co was so badly set up for patrons to try, buy and learn more about local Austrian wines.

This was a perfect choice for tasting Austrian wine. They were offering a group of bio wines, white, red and orange. The orange was a new concept for us, but we loved it. We also had the mixed bruschetta, delicious. Good location, makes a nice rest stop after museums, gardens, etc. Find a place in the Naschmarkt for dessert.
