“You need to try out...”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Service, sometimes it is very rude, it is packed, prices are ok... so why in the hell Aida is always full not just of tourists but also locals? Try out the sweets and you will find out...

“Must visit”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

Aida is truly a place to visit when in Vienna. I have discovered it ten years ago and since then I am a regular customer. The coffee is the best in town and next to the classics, the offer is constantly changing and makes me always want to try something new. Like the cupcakes or the cakes in the cup. Delicious. Although the location on Stephansplatz is offten crowded with tourists, it is not worse than any other fameous Vienneese coffee place in the center. If you want more peace and space, go the any other aida, there are plenty around the first distirct anyhow. Tip, try their cake pralines (gift box) and chocolate almonds.

“Best cakes in town”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

There is no chance to visit Vienna without being at Aida Cafe. Such a lot of different cakes and other sweets in best quality at the "pink cafe" Aida. The most famous place is straight at the centre at Stephansplatz; but there are almost 30 shops in Vienna.
We just can recommend to visit and enjoy (even to take away some presents as we did) the cakes, cage and atmosphere at Aida cafe bar.

“Viennese insider's secret for cheap, excellent coffee”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

The Viennese love their coffee -- they claim to have invented the coffee house in 1683 -- and they love a bargain even more. Traditionally a coffee in a "real" coffee house gives you rights to a seat for hours, and to read all the newspapers, but it's priced accordingly. Having lived in Vienna for many years, I know Aida is the secret of the frugal Viennese. There are dozens of branches all over town, seemingly one in every block. The one at Stephensplatz attracts more tourists than many others -- stunning view of the cathedral and the street performers -- but at most branches the staff are multilingual (most come from a country other than Austria anyway), and at all of them the coffee is STRONG (and always served with a small glass of water). These are not coffeehouses for lingering, but they won't rush you either.
