“Great location”

The best located hotel we could find in this price category. Close to the museum quarter and metro @Karlsplatz. The hotel has all the basic needs. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, because there's plenty of nice restaurants nearby.

We had great time in this hotel. The hotel is right in the middle of major attractions. Also, they upgraded us to a bigger room with three beds without charge. This helped us as we were traveling with our teenage son. Very nice people.

I am a frequent visitor to Vienna and have tried many different options in this fabulous city. This hotel offers an excellent solution for travelers visiting on a budget not permitting splurge, but rather calling for cost saving options.

It is a friendly and well kept hotel. The location is perfect, just minutes walk from the Night market and two blocks from Hofburg and the Ring. Metro Karlsplatz is just 100 meters down the road. Fabled City Opera House is a short stroll away and so is famous Musikverein. The museum quarter and Kunsthistorisches Museum are also a very short walk after turning left out of the hotel. The Mariahilfer street is just behind the hotel and Kartner Strasse is a mere 10-15 minute walk. You are practically in the heart of Vienna at the daily rate of 100+ EUR in a hotel that offers a very good value for that amount of money.

The hotel itself is a small but comfortable, I would say three star, facility with friendly staff. Located in two adjoining Secession buildings, the hotel gives you a feeling of passed times; in rooms you will hear the squeaking parquet floors and get the sense of how it felt to be traveling in early 20th century; if you like that particular feeling - you will enjoy it.

The quality of rooms is uneven, however; some are very small, weirdly shaped and cramped, some are of decent size and comfortable. Tip: do pay a little extra for a business room - if you care about the room size, this will be a good investment for your stay in Vienna. Beds are OK, not the fancy Heavenly Bed, but can't complain. Connectivity in the rooms was OK every time I visited. Internet access was free. Guests can also use free of charge iMac in the lobby - comes handy with free printing, ideal for printing museum tickets or boarding passes. Breakfast is decent and the staff is friendly. Hotel is very clean, well maintained, laundry and other services are professional. For a small surcharge you can easily extend check out as many hours as you might need - how thoughtful of management; if you have an evening or a late night flight, no need to bother - you just buy (for a reasonable price) as many additional hours as you might need.

The hotel doesn't have a gym, but literally 100 meters away, diagonally across the road there is a huge John Harris Fitness gym with pool and everything a gym buff would need; you can get a daily pass there for below 30 EUR - for me that was a great option.

I haven't used the hotel restaurant (except for breakfast) so, I can't comment, however a tiny lobby bar offers good choice of wines. If you are of more discerning taste and want more diverse wining options, you can just stroll 50 meters down the road and exactly on the corner there is an excellent Wine&Co wine bar, with great choice of wines for all tastes, at reasonable prices. The same goes for food options, the hotel is right by the Night Market so there is a lot of good restaurants and food available. Tip: beware of pickpockets in the area of Night Market - my colleague's wallet was stolen from the front pocket of his jacket while we were enjoying wine and food inside of Wine&Co.

All in all - I would rate this hotel as very good because of its excellent value and recommend it to travelers who are looking for good deals for their accommodation in central Vienna.

The hotel is close to business area and is also in 10 minutes walking distance to the city centre. The building is old, the rooms and the elevator need refurbishing, however the accommodation was very comfortable and there was no disturbing noise from outside.
A buffet breakfast is served with plenty of hot and cold choices. The reception staff were very friendly and polite; so were the waiters in the breakfast area.

We stayed here 2 nights. Nice and comfortable hotel. Best part about this place was its location! the food market was across the road and we loved loved that place. The opera was 5 min walk and so were all other imp places. Buffet breakfast was good. def recommend this place if you are not looking for a luxurious but comfortable hotel close to all the sights.

The choice hotel for ERES conference 2013 being close to the conference venue, it was a no-brianer choice. And what a delightful experience it was, my 3 nights at this hotel. Walkable from the main train station (2.3km) and just next to theKarlplatz subway station, the hotel is easy accessible.

The rooms are decent sized, clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is adequate with a standard variety.

What I like most is that the hotel is a good site to explore old Vienna. St. Stephen cathedral is 10-15 min walk or one subway stop away. The Secession is just across the street. Two to three stops away from CItyAirport Transfer station, where the fast trains will bring you to the airport under 20 minutes. Also, you can check in and bag drop at the CAT station if flying Lufthansa.

many museums in the vicinity, including a quaint vintage watch shop Time Fair (ask for Gustav).

Room Tip: Ask for room in the new wing, away from the main road for quiet rooms.
