“Impressive collection, but horrible cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

What a collection! Make sure you have got enough time and a good mood to spend here. After seeing a lot of the 17th century paintings we wanted a break in the café, but the service and the rude attitude of the stressed guys who worked there made us leave the museum and we didn’t finish seeing all what we had planned. First we were told to move table with no explanation, then after having tried for a long time to get their attention we were told they had a break and they couldn’t serve us?

“This is the "must-see" Fine Arts Museum.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

We thought this collection was wonderful. Moreover, I appreciated the number of seats provided, in contrast with museums in London and was also amazed to find that photographs were permitted.

“The ticket counters were a mess”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

Ticket counters were outside the museum but I really can't figure out why only one window for immediate entrance on a Sunday when they should expect a lot of visitors. It took over 30mins to wait but how complicated it is to buy a ticket?!

Museum wise- it was one of the most wonderful museum experience i had on paintings and would be good if the audio guides had more stories telling. There were LOTS of paintings but as some were hung really high up, you need to stand in a distance to appreciate, only if they can be hung at an angle which could be more friendly for viewing.

You need to spare lots of time, I wasn't that interested in the other exhibitions so just quickly browsed through but already took more over 2 hrs inside.

“Fantastic collection of art”

Gorgeous collection of art you can very well compare to Louvre and Hermitage, and numismatic collection they have upstairs was a real highlight for me

“Make sure you have plenty of time”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

This museum is a making... it has so much that is exceptional that I was overwhelmed by it all... therefore you need lots of time... probably better to see parts of it over several days.
And don't go in just 1 hour before they close... it is not enough time.
