Owner description: The Cultural World Heritage Site of Schönbrunn Palace is Austria's most frequently visited tourist attraction. In the palace the residential and state rooms with their original furnishings and decorations convey an authentic impression of the imperial lifestyle. The park and gardens surrounding the palace make Schönbrunn in a unique synthesis of Baroque art as well as providing a convenient and highly popular recreational area for Vienna's population.

Schonbrunn Palace is a must see. Tickets can be expensive but there are many choices and plans. You could spend hours here. We did the classic plus which let's you see all the rooms in the palace, gardens, maze, gloriette and struedel show.

Rarely are such places so intact with all their original pieces and woodwork. For me the flooring was superb marquetry and the walls and ceilings were to the same standard. Its righly busy.
We had too short a time in the gardens with barely enough time to walk up to the fountain/waterfall and back. From what we saw the back area could be better with the formal gardens on the side and an extra entry charge.
Overall its a must see in Vienna and i recommend getting there early.

Really enjoyed this as it was filled with the family furniture which gave you a better picture of how they lived.

Walking up the drive and seeing this wonderful building would lift your spirits. The grounds are very well kept. There is something magical about the place. One of the wonders of Vienna.

The grounds were amazing & spacious, then there is the palace. Wonderful architecture & tour. We have been on this tour many times before (5 Times) & love it every time . The guides are wonderful & very knowledgeable about everything. I would suggest attending g the palace in the spring, summer or fall, you just cannot get the same appreciation attending in the winter months.
