I went there with guests. Everybody was disappointed. Instead of learning something about Freud's thoughts and theory, you could simply look at some old pictures, books and personal belongins.
If you are not a PHD student writing over years about Freud don't go there!

It's not worth it. Poor. It costs 8 euros and you see only 1 sofa and some chairs, one cane, two or three hats and some pictures.

Honestly saying i was a bit dissapointed. It was just a house where Great Freud used to practice. I was expecting to see something more "psychoanalytical" let's say. But it was just belongings and some pictures of "father of psychoanalysis"
But anyway some people can find it worth visiting, so you can see and feel in which atmosphere did Sigmund Freud live and create his works.

I went there as a teen ager, it was a very nice, unusual, museum as it's dedicated to a psychoanalist. Several interesting things to read and observe. It's a nice place to drop by when in Vienna having some spare time.

It's heartbreaking to give this museum a poor review, but for such a giant in his field, this museum should be bigger and better in a lot of ways. I liked the waiting room and the tiny gift shop but the rest of the collection was just key items (mostly books) in the life of Freud. It actually made me realize that a museum should be much more than a bunch of things about a person or topic.

They are trying hard here, and I respect and appreciate that. But overall, I feel like everyone coming through the door is expecting more.

One of the other reviews said "worth a quick stop." I agree. Don't miss it, but set aside just an hour for it.
