I was not going to write a bad review about the hotel, until I wrote an E-mail to their manager, and she didn't respond. That showed that didn't care about what I had to say. In fact, I have never written a review about any hotel. So you know that I am really angry.
Let me just say honestly, I am not exaggerating and I am not being outrageous. At least that is my opinion.
As you will notice I am rating everything 1/5, because their lack of professionalism caused me to dislike everything about the hotel.
This is what I sent after my stay: Verena Hager-Jansen - Guest Relations & Duty Manager.
And I promise to all of you that she never responded.
I truthfully must say my stay was indeed not pleasant due to an issue regarding my payment.
I am a medical student, and as you know for students it is not easy to gather enough funds to stay in a high star hotel. Also medical students do not get much vacation time.
Despite this, I had saved for months and organized a one night vacation for my girlfriend and I. I had booked the hotel accomodation, and did my duty as a client to have all the receipts with me.
I chose to pay extra and stay in a high star hotel like Raddison because of its high reputation and prestige, assuming they would treat me accordingly.
Instead, the minute I walked in the hotel to check-in, the clerks were telling me that I did not pay and made me wait 33 minutes while they went in and checked with their supervisor. I showed them my confirmation booking, and they still didn't have my payment for some reason. After a while, they told me the issue is settled. And asked me for a cash deposit.
But then, the same thing happened when I checked out. The desk clerks told me I had not paid, and I must pay now. This time I had to wait 47 minutes at the desk while they tried to figure out what was happening. Then you came told me that the clerks at check-in had made a mistake by swiping my credit card when they weren't supposed to. When the issue was over I had left the hotel.
But I later realized they let me leave without my deposit! I had to run back and ask for my deposit back. That is incredibly unprofessional.
As you can imagine this would be very embarrasing for anyone, especially for a medical student who does not have the surplus bank account that many other individuals might have. Keeping in mind, that my girlfriend was with me the entire time. Therefore, this made me feel very embarrased and worried, although I had done everything correctly.
