Owner description: For centuries the Vienna Hofburg was the centre of the Habsburg empire. Today the palace houses three museums which afford historically authentic insights into the traditions and everyday life of the imperial court: The Imperial Apartments with their original furnishings and decoration, the Sisi Museum with its sensitive staging of the empress' life, and the Imperial Silver Collection which contains a comprehensive range of tableware and other utensils used at the imperial court.

“Beautiful inside and out”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

I recently visited Vienna and went to the Hofburg. The Hofburg palace is beautiful from the outside and is a historic landmark. However, I also attended a ball inside the Hofburg and it was even more impressive inside than out. There are various halls, including the huge Festsaal. The Zeremonialsaal is incredibly ornate and is absolutely beautiful. If you have the chance to visit the inside of the Hofburg, you should seize the opportunity!

“GO SEE”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

definitely go see...and give yourself lots of time, I ran out of time, which was bad because they staff start rushing you, but they are closing so....anyways, the interior is very like schoenbrunn, but its very very nice also, also with the SIsi museum and kitchen utensil collections, very worth your time

“Do not miss it! Lovely!”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

I've liked everything about it! A must see, especially the Silverware Collection! Make sure you do not miss the audio guided devices at the entrance of the Museum.

“Go for Sisi if at all”
Reviewed February 12, 2013 via mobile

The Palace is ok. Not great, but just ok. The palaces of Austria can't compare with those of France so if you have seen those, these would not be so interesting. This has a section dedicated to the Queen Sisi, which makes it worth a visit. It's not great, but its definitely on the list of things to do in Vienna. The complex itself is far more interesting than the Palace actually.

“Great Palace”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Beautiful palace with plenty to see inside and out. Fascinating history and collections. Bought a multi ticket which enabled quicker entry and subsequent visits to other palaces (such as Schoenbrunn) and saved me time and money.
