A small group of work chums discovered this little Gem tucked away off the North Gurtel at Westbanhoff, on the intersection of Kenyonnegasse & Seidengasse. On the corner of the street with some basic tables and chairs outside and inside looks like a cafe from the 1970's East Ham high street (London, UK) so we were a little nervous BUT and heres the BUT.

The food was fab!

The owner spoke Englisch and Deutsch, asked about heat levels for all the curries we ordered and got the heat spot ok(we like it hot). My friend is an aficionado of heat and chillies (yes i know) but he was impressed.

Great portion size and traditional serving dishes of raised steel bowl (heated underneath) with copper & stainless steel serving spoons. Not the more commercial type of serving consisting of china bowls and tons of dull looking rice and curry sauce.

Didn't come away feeling overfull and achey - always a plus. Great food and defiantly one for the repeat visit. Close to Westbanhoff (10mins north on foot).

*****CASH ONLY! but ATM's at Westbanhoff******

Enjoy curry lovers!

If you are looking for good vegetarian food, then this is the place. The owner of the restaurant gives personal attention to your preference. Although the place looks outdated, the food was very good. We liked rotis and panneer dishes. Don't miss Gajar ka Halwa (Indian sweet dish with carrots and dry friuts).

The owner was courteous and attentive. The food was excellent. The place was clean and tidy but had a dated Indian look.
Do not miss this place if you want good Indian food... if you want mainly ambience go to Nirvana but so long as you do not care too much about the ambience, you will not regret this choice.

Bottom line at the top: if you are not looking for a cozy ambiente definitely go for a meal! We would go again.

We had a great meal, the place was full of Indian people which is a great sign, the prices were adequate. Unfortunately the kingfisher beer was sold out (noooooooooooooo!!) and the ambiente is similar to in India: not the greatest at all, not very comforting and one or two holes in the floor. Restaurant clean, toilets dirty.
