We've been at Kulinarium before twice but only for dinner! Yesterday I found out that they recently introduced lunch as well. Had a business appointment with three clients who were impressed (which other restaurant in Vienna would offer beuf stroganoff for a lunch deal). The reasonable bill was the second surprise - EUR 12,90 for two courses (soup/salad for starter and main course)! Eventually a place for quality lunch in my neighbourhood..

I dined here a few weeks ago. The food was excellent although the seating arrangement is a bit lacking.
The restaurant is located in a central area of Vienna, quite close to Mariahilferstrasse. The ambiance is very nice and relaxing however the seats are far from comfortable. They have opted to use a bar stool style seat which is not ideal. By the end of the evening I couldn't wait to get out of this seat.
On the night I opted for the Chef's menu with wine. Each dish was prepared to a very high standard however what truly stuck out was the beef dish which was cooked to perfection and the roasted tomato soup. The scallops served on a bed of lentils were good as was the fish. The desert was the least impressive plate of them all.
Service on the night was excellent and the waitress was extremely attentive to details and explaining each individual plate.

This was the best restaurant experience we had during our week long stay in Vienna. The food here is delicious, with tasty a amuse bouche and palate cleansers provided between courses. Every plate here has clearly been thoroughly thought through, down to the special fresh basil butter and infused oils provided with the bread.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the service was friendly and attentive (definitely the most welcoming restaurant we visited). Staff were also able to provide helpful recommendations for the wine. Unlike some other top quality restaurants portion sizes are still good and I didn't leave hungry.

The food is more expensive than average (staters around €11 and mains €22) but you get what you pay for. I thought this was decent value.

I would definitely recommend this to friends and family visiting Vienna.

The only draw back is location as views out the window are onto a the pub opposite, which isnt the most attractive, but this didn't detract from our very positive experience.

We ate at Kulinarium following Trip Advisor recommendation. The food was fantastic and the staff were vey friendly. We had the 3 course option with wine which was really good value. The wines were great and they explained each one. It was less than 5 mins from our hotel (K and K Marie Theresia which was also good) and just great to find such great food. Strongly recommend it. Hot tip.....it isn't very big inside so maybe best to book.

We had a lovely dinner here. The menu is small and very focussed, but the food is of excellent quality and the service is uber friendly and knowledgeable. We had a few glasses of Zweigelt Unplugged Austrian red wine with our meal which was a fantastic wine. Dinner for two was about $90.
