We booked this only 48 hours before the day of the trip and unfortunately due to the time of the year there was not a large enough group to do it as an organised tour. But no worries Adam who runs the tour was fantastic and provided us with maps, bikes puncture kit, and first aid kit and his knowledge of the best places to stop on route for wine tasting and great places to eat. He personally took us to the train station and sorted out our tickets and gave us his contact number so he could meet us at the end of the day. He could not of done more to ensure we had a brilliant day. The sun was shinning and at this time of year the trees looked magnificent in all their autumn colours. The bike ride was easy going and our 12 year old loved it. We took the train to Melk admiring the stunning scenery on route and from there cycled through the wachau valley amongst vineyards and lovely villages. We stopped at Durnstein to take the worthwhile hike up the hill to see the ruins where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. This was one of the best days out we had in Vienna and we would strongly recommend everyone to do this. Thanks Adam for a brilliant time and all your help.
