Awesome large monumental decorated buildings, short walking distances btn the different plazas, lots of cafes and restaurants, plenty of shopping to do and explore. Streets are clean.

We toured the silver and china collection-more interesting than it sounds-, the Sisi Museum and the Imperial apartments.

You should sit down and have a spritzer or a beer and just watch the people, almost as interesting as the architecture and fashion. There are Hasids in their tall hats and long coats, ladies in birkas covering all but their eyes in the heat, Japanese school children...and so may different languages. And then there is the Plague Column....

You haven't REALLY been to Vienna until you walked the streets surrounding Stephansdom.
Take at least 2-3 hours to explore the quarter, with its narrow streets, numerous churches, cafes, museums and shops.
The place gets almost magical in the evenings, when the buildings' classic facades are dramatically lit.

Someone is lucky to live here. Other is lucky to visit Wien for a first time. But everyone may feel lucky every time they visit Wien. Historical centre provides excitement with every step, no matter are you here for a first or for a twenty- or one hundred and first time. You can explore it spending here tons of time disregarding primary target: gourmet tourism or architecture, museums or street life. Excellent public transport, friendly people and enormous number of attractions. Wish I could live there to take a daily walk over the center...
