The room was spacious - even with the bed down ( a fold down bed, which we found extremely comfortable). A small but well-equipped kitchenette and modern decor. There was a very good Billa supermarket nearby if you wished to self cater. The Adagio is located across the road from a Ringstrasse tramstop and a short a few blocks from a Metro station. It is a short stroll from an area full of local restaurants. An ideal choice for a short Vienna stay.

Stayed in this Aparthotel for the self catering options for breakfast & prepping lunches. Handy location for trams 1 & 2 and also the U Bahn lines 3 &4. Easy city to get around on public transport once you have the ticket system worked out and got the transport maps. Our room was 'compact' but fine for the amount of time we actually spent in it. Shower room was okay size but as other reviews reported, the shower sprays all over the floor as there is no proper shower door. Shower gel is provided which was good. The CD player in the room didnt work but we reported that to reception and it was replaced the same day. The air con didnt work but luckily the temperatures had cooled a little by the time of our stay and the heated towel rail didnt work either. Fitness centre down in the basement was a nice bonus and I used it every day, but not the sauna as you have to give them 30 mins notice to get it heated up for use. There are extra towels in the fitness area which I used as we didnt get daily cleaning because we stayed for 4 nights (if we had only stayed 3 nights we would have had a daily cleaning service).
We didnt find the staff very friendly or helpful - they acted as though they didnt understand what we were saying (we are English speaking). As an example - when we asked where we could buy tickets for the tram we just kept getting told "in the shop" but were unable to ascertain where this shop was or what kind of shop it was.
If I stayed in Vienna again I'd go for the traditional hotel option.

Room Tip: All supermarkets are closed on Sunday so for self catering facilities make sure you stock up at the...

In brief: three night stay over Easter.
good points: clean, comfortable room; very pleasant and helpful staff, very quiet - no noise from other rooms or traffic, complimentary coffees etc. after 10 a.m. from the breakfast area, good location (Vienna is superb for easy movement around city especially using the 'Vienna Card', which also gave us discounts off museums etc. - once purchased make sure you validate it immediately by putting into one of the blue ticket machines by the ticket office on the underground), easy to arrange taxi to airport from hotel (35 euros).
Other points: Room was just big enough, our view was of a hotel wall but that didn't bother us particularly; we didn't use with the kitchen area although it was very well equipped (however, actually for two people eating a meal in there it would have been very cramped and there was only a small table and one chair). Breakfast was okay for 12 Euros (nothing hot served) but we used the excellent 'Haus and Haus' restaurant, by the cathedral, for breakfast after first day.
We would certainly consider using again as the price paid for the standard of accommodation was reasonable and the staff courteous and efficient.

Being on d Ringstrasse, in d 1st district of Vienna - makes adagio a very conveniently located aparthotel. Tram number 1 can be seen passing thru, bang infront of d hotel. Loved d spacious lobby with hot choc and a desktop for complimentary usage. The rooms are comfortable just like in most adagio aparthotels. What i dint quite like is d constant view of d traffic from d windows of d room - but, those r d disadvantages of choosing a place which is right in d heart of d city center. Also, d mattresses were hard and needed replacement i think. I love to cook and so got myself some groceries - d grocery store is a less than 5 min walk from d hotel. A good option for d economy traveler! Though I'd rather stay at a charming, sweet, tastefully done up Viennese apartment d next time I visit Vienna :)
