“Nice location, special kitchen and good wines”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

Middle in a bloc a long a street close to the Ludwig Museum is this nice place with a garden.
We went for the menues. Soon after placing the order we got a surprise from the kitchen. Then we had to wait for a certain time, nevertheless the place was just half full. However it was worthwhile. I got a very special artichoke soup and after that a deliciouse fish. Friendly service, a place we will come back.

“An unexpected gem in Vienna”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

I have visited Vienna on multiple occasions and eaten in most of the classic restaurants as well as some of the "Cutting Edge" places. None of them compare to this lovely restaurant tucked away in an interior courtyard of an old building. We dined there twice in what they refer to as the garden. The service was top notch and the food superb! From the unexpected amuse bouche to the perfectly prepared lamb this place rocks. They have a nice selection of Austrian wines that are fairly priced, if you like a good digestif do not miss the incredible selection of fruit brandies from master distiller Hans Reisetbauer. The only caveat is that if you are eating late the garden closes at 10.00 p.m. and you may have to move inside to finish your meal. It is not inexpensive but excellent value.

I ordered a delicious appetizer made of asparagus now that his season. Main course I ordered a fish on a bedding of greens and artichoke puree.
Dessert was a treat made with strawberry and excellent espresso were great finish great evening.

Friendly service, if a bit slow. Very good food, reasonable prices. Excellent for being open till late. Pity that tobacco smoke permeates the restaurant.
