The enviroment ia trendy and cool, love the design of the place however food and and service don't match. The waiters try hard but maybe they aren't experienced enough. Slow, no communication, they don't know who ordered what and also took them 20 min to take out the hot towel they had brought at the beginning.. Drinks were not exciting, food ok but with no identitity. Super small selection of maki. A bit disappointed

I went to Aï with my parents when they came to town. We have lived about 15 years in Asia and so we were in total awe with the experience at Aï. It was delicious, beautiful, fun so so tasty! We started with a light cocktail at the bar which was a lovely refreshing new interpretation of the spritzers you find everywhere. After the Aperitif we were seated and ordered a large variety of dishes. All were fantastis! You had different influences from Asia which made it so fun for us. Agota our waitress was lovely as well and took good care of us. She explained everything very well and was attentive. All in all, whoever loves modern Asian cuisine or even classic Asian cuisine, Aï will not fail to please.

For this price I expected more ... The food was good, the interior downstairs nice, the service bad, specially the sommelier, he constantly forgot to serve us, the music was way too loud we asked 3 times to turn it down a bit, so that we can have a conversation without shouting but they didn’t react at all. So we will never come again....

And I was sorely disappointed. Visited many times during the soft opening Winter when the food was excellent and reasonably priced, with the main issue being disorganised service. All manageable over time. And over time, I returned and was dismayed that the service has not improved at all (in fact it is worse), the prices have actually increased (exorbitant for Vienna), and the food is nearly inedible (left one plate completely uneaten after sending it back once). As opposed to the Winter when the restaurant was packed, it is now half empty with only tourists and the menu is in English. Clearly Management have taken a view on their business model and target clientele...overpriced bad food for one time visitors.

This is a very trendy place in Vienna based in very traditional Japanese food (almost not fusion here) with the exception of a good robata grill. Nothing was special in the tasting menu, but nothing was bad. A bit pricey but you pay the trend. Very good deserts, the most innovative of the dishes
