We were staying in the Novotel and had come off a 28 hr flight from Australia. We had stayed up during the day to get our sleep patterns in order. So we ventured downstairs to have an early dinner before getting some much needed sleep. The place is slickly designed and the menu a mix of the inventive and the traditional eg Wiener schnitzel. The service was helpful but not that knowledgable. When I asked about the ingredients in certain dishes the waiter did not know. However he was quick to go and find out. I had the signature 4/4 which is 4 small serves in their own glasses. The deep fried prawn was tough and only so so. The felafel was average. However the chicken with apple and fennel with little dough torpedoes was very good. The small steak with truffle mash was out of this world. I would say the best steak and mash I have ever had.
So my 4 tastes went from mediocre to outstanding.
