Absolutely brilliant way of travelling. Stress free and reasonable prices make this a most enjoyable hour and a half. The wind at 60kph on the top deck can be exhausting, so relax downstairs with a drink from the bar.

What a nice experience. The city twin liners is a great way to go from Bratislava to Vienna. The hydrofoil is spacious with comfortable seats and great view from the sun deck. It stops right at the center of Vienna where you can easily take trams, buses and Metro to anywhere.

“Very nice ride but don't take the tour of Bratislava”
Reviewed August 12, 2012 via mobile

The boat ride was very relaxing and enjoyable that we took from Vienna to Brataslavia. However they offer a tour of Brataslavia for an additional 10 Euros per person once you get off. I'm sure if you speak German it is fine but if you only speak English it is a waste of time. First if you only speak English you're put on a bus called "other" like you're not as smart as the others. Then you listen to an audio tour in English with no guide and hope that you are looking at the right thing that they are talking about. If there is traffic the audio could be talking about a castle and you're looking at McDonalds. The German people got a lively guide who gave them a tour that I wondered what she was saying. Then we got off of the bus and we had a 30 minute walking tour in German. After 5 minutes of describing a building in German our guide would point to the building and say "there's a castle". I didn't mind as much that the 10 Euros were a waste of money but I was annoyed that I wasted almost 2 hours of my limited time in Brataslavia. I certainly understand that most people speak German but don't say that you offer a tour in English. I would have been better off following the Rick Steve's self guided tour.

“relaxed sightseeing”
Reviewed May 22, 2012

We loved traveling by katamaran boat from Bratislava to Vienna. Just sit back and see the countryside glide by. It travels at 50 km/hr and we arrived in Vienna 90 mins. later, fully relaxed. Be aware that the early 10.30 boat is 19 euros, while later ones were 29 euros per person.

“A nice way to get from Bratislava to Vienna”
Reviewed May 16, 2012

We have been using Trains throughout central Europe and thought the Danube might be an interesting way to get to Vienna instead.

We paid 19 Euro each one way. Which I thought was pretty good value.

It takes about 90 minutes and the recorded message even points out some areas of interest eg when you 'cross the border'.

This message also states you should feel free to walk around the air conditioned cabin but there is no way it was air conditioned. It was pretty hot and stuffy.

You will also be approached by tour people. They are not pushy or a rip off and will only approach you once.

Overall, a nice, different way to travel between two cities.
