Our stay at hotel Caroline was excellent. The hotel is within easy reach of the U-bahn station (5 minutes walking), rooms are very clean and the breakfast buffet is great.
Two small remarks:
On the other side of the street, there's a tram depot. This gives some noise if you have a room facing the street.
Also, there was a strong cigarette smell in the corridors, however in the rooms there's no smell at all.
Overall: very good value for money. We would go there again.
My family stayed here for two nights. Nice big room but not very clean. Very bad always disconnect Wi-Fi. Reception was not operation at night so you must keep key from hotel with you and open all doors (room door and hotel door).

Unfortunately, we got to spend only one night at this hotel. Very interesting layout of the room, spacious, immaculate, light and clean.
Loved the breakfast, loved the receptionist. Located 5 minutes walk from the Metra (maybe even less than that).

I spent one night at the Caroline during my trip to Vienna. The hotel is in a renovated well maintained art-noveau building. The receptionist was very friendly and competent and upon request gave me a quiet room which was simply furnished but immaculately clean. Breakfast was very good,served buffet style, in a large and clean dining hall on the first floor of the hotel. The only drawback of this hotel is its location-the neighborhood is not very attractive but, on the plus side, it is only a few minutes from a subway station, which makes the ride downtown simple and quick. The Caroline is a no-frills place but if you are looking for a super clean and friendly place to stay you will not be disappointed. I would stay at this hotel again.

We recently spent 3 days at the Caroline during a vacation in Vienna. We were traveling with a group and all parties expressed favorable opinions of their stay. Hotel was very clean and the room was big and well kept. Every time we asked for directions they were accurate and recommendations for restaurants were spot on. The only reason this hotel does not get a perfect rating is the noise level. Our room (15) was located on the busy street side of the hotel. It was warm so we opened the windows to cool off the room but the street noise was awful all night long. A bus stop was located directly below our room and on top of that a number of electric trains are parked across the street so we heard activity all night long. We would stay again but request a different room next time.
Low price but valuable service,although the street that this hotel is located is not very attractive you can reach metro and other public transportation in 5 minutes...also it is near Keplerplatz Street,full of caffee,icecream,foods,etc...you know ,you should try it...
