The location is really superb and you are close to everything. I don't recommend to upgrade for 30€( I had to because my number wasn't ready...))) the garage costs are 38 €which is equivalent to the sum if you receive the fine for not having a valid ticket for parking( so make your math). Also bar and breakfest prices were quite high( 12 € for and 28€ respectively).
So all together- good quality but also pricy.

It is the location of this hotel that is its main draw: subway just next door, within walking distance to famous sights and shops.

Everything else is what you would expect from a business hotel: clean rooms, amenities that work, satisfactory buffet breakfast.

As for their service, they could do better by adding some warmtn/ personality to their efficiency.

To give an example, when we asked for a late check-out on the fourth and last day of our stay, we were told "No" even before we could finish speaking.. When we finally finished our request by saying we were happy to pay for the late check-out, the answer then became an immediate "No problem", without a blink of an eye or change of expression..

Well, that was awkward..

Sometimes one has good luck, and this time we got it. Contrary to most hotels, where one has to think twice to look for excellency, at Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof Wien it is diffficult to find out what is not excellent. Location, service, room size and so on, deserve the highest grade. We only thing we may claim that there is room for improvement is the wifi connection, that could be quicker, but otherwise we found it a faultless house.

Room Tip: Send a message to the manager with your preferences before leaving.

When travelling to a city it ´s always the decision where to stay the one I do consider the most important. Willing to have everything, this becomes difficult some time. In Vienna, we have decided to stay at the Steigenberger Herrenhof which was one of our beste decisions ever. Great staff, nice spa facilities, exquisite breakfast and over any other thing: the location in the Herrengasse only steps ahead any city attraction. We could walk all around very easily and shall you may need to take the underground to go for example to Belvedere, the underground is just on the corner. Simply perfect hotel!

The Steigenberger has a great location in the heart of Vienna, so either you can walk from there to explore the city or take the tube right at the corner. The design is fancy and new, rooms and bathrooms are a good size and tasteful. The hotel has a really nice litttle spa with sauna, steam bath and a gym area. New, very clean and modern, very inviting to the a break. Breakfast is really good with a selection of food that doesnt leave anything more to ask for.
The only thing that is truly disappointing is that they allow people to smoke in their lounge area, the only place where you can have a coffee or eat lunch. Plus you need to walk through that area in the morning if you want to go for breakfast. For non smokers this is not a good experience, to say it nicely, you sit or walk through the smoke, your clothes and hair stinks. In times like this, not acceptable anymore, especially not for a hotel that does everything else right.

Room Tip: The roof top floor is niiiiiice.

This is my first time back to Vienna after some ten years aside transit. I consulted tripadvisor and came up with this hotel. And I was not disappointed. I only have a short time in Vienna. Staying here allows me to explore Vienna more convenient. It's close to everything, underground subway or tram. It's also close to many spots around, SiSi Museum, Spanish Horse Training are just down the street. On the other side, situated a famous cafe name Cafe Central. Quite a spot, not only tourists go there, so do locals. And it was crowded.

The room was spacious with nice and clean decoration. Bathroom is even better. I wouldn't expect that spacious room in Europe.

Service is excellent. The front staff was very helpful. She recommended me a local restaurant for traditional Austrian food. Ofenloch, served very good food. Love it.

Nice hotel, really good location, near to central cafe and all the branded store. No view from the room. Excellent breakfast, especially fruit. Nice lounge, alwayes populated. To much smoke. We go to herrenhoff 2 times, and I will go again.
