“We Forced It Down But Didn't Like It”
Reviewed March 19, 2011

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we were disappointed with food, drink and service. Granted, we are not health nuts but we did know it was a bio restaurant and were eager to try crepes of wholesome ingredients. Still, we found our drinks (the homemade lemonade and a latte) utterly undrinkable due to their dreadfulness tastes. To add insult to injury there is a .50 charge to warm the lemonade. The crepes were extremely dry; the tiny chips of walnuts tasteless; and the maple syrup did not arrive with the crepes but halfway through and only after we sought out the waitress. Wait staff changed mid-meal which only served to add to our dissatisfaction: we had to repeat our order and the new waiter did not properly compute. Additionally, we consider the prices high and were surprised to see so many students and other young people. Clearly, some diners consider it "cool" to eat there but we failed to find the charm.

“it's surely a nice place but not for us”
Reviewed April 29, 2010

We went to this lovely-looking café with my son and husband in the off season on a Monday evening when the place was not crowded at all. Despite this, the waitress forgot about us when ordering and then again when we wanted to pay. She then miscalculated the bill (added up the figures on a piece of paper) and overcharged us with 10 euros (27 instead of 17 euros). I'm sure she didn't do this on purpose - maybe she was new and just learning the ropes? The food was interesting but some spice was a bit overused to our taste so my otherwise not picky son wouldn't eat his ham-and-cheese galette. The atmosphere was good.

“lovely little french cafe at a church plaza--serves organic food and drinks”
Reviewed October 10, 2009

my father and i enjoyed waffles and eggs and ham (styrian style with pumpkin seed oil) for breakfast one lovely fall morning. when the weather's nice, choose the outside seating on the tranquil little lane with a view of the Piaristen Church plaza. Very friendly service, reasonable prices, calm atmosphere, and great coffee. a charming menu and a perfect addition to the neighorhood. clean restaurant with very simple restrooms.

Small and nice just like home - try the brunch.. it's very good value for money and there's just too many good things to try and eat. Coffee is wonderful there too - vive la france!
