“Good cafe - great cakes !”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

This is a good cafe, with an outstanding selection of cakes / deserts on offer.
The live piano added a little something to the atmosphere.
Busy on a Sat evening, with a lively crowd.

“Sharing good food”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

While looking for a place for a late dinner we came across Diglas and because it looked freindly and welcoming we decided to try it. We were not disappointed; the service was friendly and accomodating. We started with noodle soup and cream of asparagus soup,(it was white asparagus season), both very good. Because our first schitzel in Vienna had been a terrible disappointment we were craving a good one. We saw a nearby customer's schnitzel was very large and we decided to split one. It was served with excellent potato salad. The waiter was very accomodating and brought two plates for us. There was no additional charge for sharing.

Diglas has a wide array of pastries displayed near the dining area and we gave in to temptation and shared a delicious Faechertorte which had nuts and poppy seeds.

By now you can see there is a theme here....sharing dishes. We generally found that portions are very generous in restaurants in Venna and other parts of Central Europe. We were always well sated. Our total bill was 39 Euros and also included two beers.

“Only for cakes”
Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

Nice piano music but not so good food or service. Seemed like I had to thank the waiter for him doing his job. Desserts are fantastic.

“Traditional coffee house”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

Recommended by our tour guide as one of the oldest cafes where women would meet and chat for hours. Good coffee, pastries, and prosecco.

“Great lunch or dinner, fantastic pastries”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

When you visit this cafe please pay attention on the pastry making video they play in the main room. Also visit their toilet: the stall doors are clear glass. Makes you wonder until you lock the door. The glass immediately become opaque and "do not enter" traffic sign is projected on it.
