“A welcomed American”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

I wandered around Vienna looking for something good but cheap (which is a bit difficult). I was impressed and had a great experience. My waitress was way overworked with the number of people in her section. But she was attentive and helpful and made the experience fun. I sorted my choice of dinner down to 3 and let her make the final decision.

Great food at a very good price. Its not cheesy in a touristy sense and just plain good. It is just across the alley from Trzesniewski which is also a favorite.

“Brits / Americans stay away you are unwelcome”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

Went to this restaurant today to eat, before we even started it was quite clear the waiter didn't like tourists - very impatient. After 10 mins it wAs quite clear that locals are treated better and English speakers are treated differently - when asking for help to translate the menu the waiter was rude and uninterested. we hadn't even finished and the waiter bought the bill over to make us pay!

“A great find, in the heart of the city”
Reviewed June 13, 2012

A really good little restaurant offering tasty Austrian food in a friendly atmosphere. Great goulash! Reasonable prices. This little gem is just two minutes away from the cathedral but is tucked away on a quiet pedestrian sidestreet, away from the traffic and the tourists.

“Found by chance and loved it!”
Reviewed June 13, 2012

Our group of 7 stumbled upon this unassuming little cafe and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The Goulash and Pumpkin Risotto were outstanding. A special meal was organised for one of our party who has to eat gluten free. There was food envy all round, so we returned the following day to try other dishes. For a very reasonable and delicious meal, give this place a try.

“Traditional local food”
Reviewed December 4, 2011

Go to this restaurant in the old city, good value for money, excellent goulash, good service, and a real local feel. We visited several local restaurants but this was the best.
