“Super convenient to Messe Vien, 10 minutes to city center”
Reviewed April 24, 2012

The Marriott Courtyard Messe Vien is a new, clean, and modern hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet corporate office park, and is directly across from the Messe Vien conference center. Due to the building shape, several rooms on each floor are quite a bit larger than the rest. Service was good, and the staff was fluent in English. Breakfast – as well as internet – was included in my €178/night room charge and was a delicious assortment of fresh foods and fruit. The Vienna subway is extremely efficient and will take you anywhere you need to be. It is about a 2 minute walk to the U2 Krieau station, and from there is only 10 minutes to the city center (U2 to Praterstern station, then U1 to Stephansplatz). If you stay in town past 1:00am, it is only a €10 cab ride back. One bit of caution on cab rides: The direct route from the city center to the Courtyard takes you along the northeast side of the Messe Vien. However, most cab drivers will take you along the southwest side – between the Messe Vien and Prater park/Vienna Casino to show you the large selection of prostitutes available after hours. If you’re not interested in a display of too much flesh stuffed into too little fabric, be sure to tell your driver! A cab from the airport is about 20 minutes and cost about €35.

Overall, I had a great experience at the hotel and would stay again.

Room Tip: My room faced the street and noise wasn't an issue.

I've been staying in this hotel because is close to the office, but I would not recommend it. The rooms are nice, but the service is really poor - the receptionists are rude and not friendly, in the breakfast area food is replaced very seldom, so in many cases I had few things to choose from. Also, usually the tables don't get cleaned very quickly so sometimes you have difficulty in finding one available. The highlight of the hotel is a very nice sports center, no pool though and the sauna is a common area for men and women.

Dear Maria-Roxana,

thank you for taking the time to provide your positive feedback regarding our rooms and fitness center. We sincerely regret the experience you made at the reception and in the restaurant. Please be assured that this is not the kind of hospitality, friendliness and service that we want to transport. Your feedback has already been discussed with the departments and will help us improve our hotel in the future.
We would appreciate it very much if you gave us the chance to directly get into contact with you. You can reach us anytime by mail: info@cy-wien-messe.at. Your mail will be brought to the immediate attention of the Hotel Management. Thank you and have a good day!

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of days and I could not ask for a better service. Breakfast was fabulous and plenty. So many choices, and such a creamy coffee that makes you want to go back just for breakfast. The hotel is 1 block away from the subway stop Krieau (Purple Line). The hotel is also within walking distance from the Prater (Ferris Wheel) Park

I really like this place for a good nights sleep. Close and handy to the metro but far enough away from the city noise. Rooms well equipped and functional. Good breakfast and easy car parking and access. Easy to miss town centre if heading to airport. If there is no conference on then very reasonable room rates, but as expected this soars during a conference or exhibition .

I have stayed in december in this hotel. It was a great location, very close to the metro station - less than 2 minutes. At breakfast we had diversity. It was a perfect location to get in the city center.

The Marriott Vienna Messe is a functional business hotel but not much more.

The rooms are large and comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and clean. The fitness room is excellent but only open until 23:00. The breakfast buffet is extensive. There is no room service - you can order from the restaurant but have to go downstairs to pick up the food. Good value for money.

Rooms are better, location is quiet, an yet convenient to subway U4 station- about 20 min ride to district 1-- center of activities, and the hotel is about 30 min from airport. There are enough places to walk for eating as well. Breakfast is good but be ready to pay 16 Euros for buffet.Room has good lighting, bed, pillows, front lobby and hallways are appealing, good shower stall and bathroom size, flat panel TV with many channel choices in local and international languages- internet is not free, and yes, has a coffee n tea maker. Locker, fridge are all working condition- don't expect much space such as in most USA Courtyards.

Room Tip: Street facing rooms are ok, no need to pay extra for back faced rooms. Choose level above the 2nd fl...
