On our first visit to Vienna, we were fortunate to both stay at Schreiners and enjoy dinner in their restaurant. They host a "bed and breakfast" option and in short, this experience was actually one of the highlights of our trip. Angela and Thomas pay exceptional attention to detail and their sense of hospitality offers guests a warm and inviting environment without compromising privacy or freedom to pursue your own agenda. This is a well-kept secret. Those looking for a first hand taste of Austria, with a comfortable retreat from vacation overload are advised to investigate. Regular B&Br's should jump at the chance to stay here. The warmth and sincerity of Schreiners definitely exceeded our expectations.
Reservations for the restaurant are advised. This is a labor of love and it shows all around. There's an "at home" feel and flavor, and the close quarters makes it feel like you've been included in something special. Food (and some drink) is primarily local, and ingredients are purchased for the daily demand with specials each day. The special dishes have a set quantity, so an earlier seating helps guarantee you have your pick of the offerings. When the Specials are gone, their deliciously gone. Note-- The restaurant is closed on Saturday and Sunday, so make your plans accordingly.
Visit their website, it will give you the exact feel that you get when you're there. Enjoy!
