Like Jackie H, I too was on a Just You holiday. We were greeted by our rooms not being ready, so they gave us a cup of coffee free while we waited. The meals are done on a number system which you must remember to pick up in the morning, I forgot one day and had to have number 1. The rooms are big and comfortable. I had two problems- end room next to the coach park- first floor, very noisy with the single glazed window, the coaches starting early in the mornings and the constant sirens of the Police and ambulances. The tree that was tiny in a photo was up to the 3rd floor window. I had a quarter of a view to the mountain and a great view of the 4 coaches most nights. The staff were very helpful and answered any queries. We did have another day where our rooms were not cleaned, we found Toblerone on pillows and at the table with a free glass of Prosecco on our next night. Lots of TV channels with ITV 1&2, BBC World News and CNN. The others were either German or French. No kettle , left mine at home which was annoying. Bottle of water in the room for a price. Free safe in the wardrobe which was a bonus. Waved goodbye to the staff as we left after they had given us a free gift of a face flannel.

Room Tip: Top floor for the view. We had no choice.

I stayed for 6 nights on a Just You singles holiday and couldn't fault the staff for their friendly and cheerful attitudes. Nothing was too much trouble. They were only too happy to let us keep any locally bought cheeses in their fridge until we went home. The hotel appears to cater mainly for coach parties but this was not a problem. We were the only UK group and the hotel had taken special care to cater for UK tastes by providing free carafes of tap water on the tables and a choice of 3 main courses. The French, German and Austrian groups appeared to have a set menu with no choice and no tap water. All the food is organic and locally sourced so very fresh but unfortunately there was no fish on the menu which was disappointing to many but perhaps local river fish such as trout were not available. The breakfasts were excellent with a great choice of boiled eggs, ham, cheese, breads, yoghurt, fruit and cereal. The coffee machine offered a good selection of delicious coffees. The starters and desserts at dinner were good but the main meals a little limited especially for vegetarians (mainly omelette). I had a front room on the 2nd floor which was very clean and spacious with comfy bed but let down by the noisy busy road. The hotel is some distance from the town centre but not a problem as a bus stops right outside the hotel. Pretty area close to Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Germany so possible to visit 3 countries in one day ( and we did!). Would recommend this hotel as having the happiest, friendliest staff I have ever met. Well done to you all!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

I like many people who have reviewed this hotel was part of a group on a coach holiday.
Seems this is popular for groups, that's not to detract from what is a really great hotel but be aware if you are travelling independently you might suddenly have your peace interrupted by two or three coach-loads of people.
I stayed on the fourth floor and the room was absolutely spotless with a lovely wet area for the shower, every day after I came back for the evening, it was spotless again with not a hair out of place, very impressive!!
The window has a mechanism which allows it to be used as a door or just to allow fresh air in.
As I had a lovely view from my room overlooking the Monastery I wanted to open the door to the small balcony and take in the fresh air, however I soon shut the door as there is some kind of sewerage smell that seems to come and go. I couldn't make out if this was coming from the hotel or from nearby.
The dining room is massive, obviously to allow for the coach parties with an area set aside for independent guests.
These type of hotels obviously have to cater for many international clients and on the whole the food was ok but don't expect fried eggs and bacon for breakfast!
The waiters and waitresses were very good, some being multilingual, special mention goes to "Linda" who was exceptional and is a real asset to the hotel.
Reception area is cavernous, check-in and out was quick and efficient with the very pretty girls who sometimes wore there traditional costumes.
The bar is in the old part of the hotel and was cosy and comfortable.
There's not really much to do in the area so you will need to get the local bus to Feldkirch town center (10 mins) which has a stop just outside the hotel. The town is really nice with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants.

Room Tip: Forth floor overlooking Monastery

We have just spent 4 days at this hotel, the rooms were spotless, food very good and the staff friendly and helpful. We were made to feel that we were important and nothing was to much trouble. The staff even came out to wave us off when we left, and we were given a gift to remember them by, such a nice gesture. We will definatly go there again. Wish I could give a better rating than 5. This hotel is run to be eco friendly, and all food is fresh and localy sourced.

Room Tip: The top floor offers the best views.

This was just for an one night stopover while travelling through Austria, since all hotels in the area are competitively priced. The property is a few miles away from the small centre of Feldkirch, but since this time we had a car, this was no problem with ample parking available. Being in Feldkirch means you have Lake Constance (Bodensee), the Alps, Switzerland and Lichtenstein (if you really must visit...) all within close proximity.

Rooms are nice, slightly Scandinavian looking and did their job for one night. One thing I can say is that the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and warm, particularly reception and the bar. I have heard the more west of Austria you go the friendlier the people, well you can not get more west than Feldkirch! It was a good balance from the staff from being friendly and helpful, without being pretentious or over-the-top.

Breakfast was fine, a huge buffet laid out in a very large breakfast area. It seems the hotel is used frequently by coach parties from the night I was there and the reviews on here.

Not much else to say since as stated we were only here for one night, but it made a good enough impression to consider returning if we ever return to the area.

i have been to a lot of hotels in the area (Mercure in Bregenz, Martinspark Dornbirn, Alpenrose and Holiday Inn Feldkirch), but this hotel has some big advantages for the demanding business traveler. It is conveniently located near all major highway (to Germany and Switzerland), has free parking in front of the hotel, spacious and clean rooms, very stylish but not cold interior design.
Great staff at the front desk!
The only downside is the breakfast.

Room Tip: Book online and go for the room with panoramic view.

Stayed for five days as part of a coach tour of Austria, the hotel is a little far from town centre unless you like a long walk, but there is a local bus service. The receptionist and staff at the hotel were first class, friendly and helpful.

Booking in and room assignment was handled by the coach drivers, so just took our own luggage up to room as only few bags so it was easier for us. The room we had was on the third floor, it was clean and modern, with a nice walk in shower in the bathroom, plenty of lamps for a range of lighting. Room had outside blinds that could be lowered to keep light out, great view of the snow covered mountains out of the windows. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Breakfast and dinner were served in the main dinning room, breakfast was excellent with a selection of fresh fruit, chopped fruit, cereals, meats and cheeses, baked products, eggs and a range of coffees.

Dinner was were they lost one star, consisting of a starter, soup of the day, main meal and desert. The main meal was one out of three choices, selected through a colour card system, the system itself seemed to work quite well but the actual meal let it down.
I had the impression that the majority of them were assembled from processed food, rather than fresh, either that or they have developed a way to make them look and taste like processed food.
The choices sometimes were a bit odd, one night it was a choice between pork with mustard sauce, pork with curried sauce, or cheese omelette.
Sweets again seemed to have been assembled, icecream with a dollop of cream and chocolate sauce, fruit cocktail, unfortunately not a fresh apple strudel in sight.

The food would keep you going, but it didn't match up with any of the Austrian meals we had when out and about, or with the food that other people had experienced on other trips to Austria.

Room Tip: From what I saw, third floor rooms seem to be fairly modern, forth floor are the most modern with sm...
