Stayed in an Attic room. Three flights of steep stairs- NO elevator! Room was functional bordering on spartan and in need of renovation. No air conditioning. But a good draft was obtainable by opening shower and bedroom windows and sleeping at the wrong end of the bed. With both the windows open I found the rythmic thumping bass music from a disco one block distant actually helped me sleep. Wireless Internet does NOT work on the Third floor. Rooms on two lower floors, which were being cleaned at time of departure, were even more threadbare. We checked in at the height of the exhibition season so our room fare which exceeded E100 bore no relation to the tawdry reality. Hotel's single employee was very helpful, friendly and well informed. However, he was often out, so you had to let yourself in most of the time. Breakfast varied getting better the later you came down. The car park is the hotel's main attraction.
Nicely situated near various attractions including the Bodensee and the open air opera. Very friendly and accommodating management. While not spacious the rooms are nice and clean, similarly the breakfast was not elaborate but it was more than adequate. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
Hi, I stayed at hotel Helvetia in Bregenz for 1 week in may 2009, its a small hotel very
well managed wih a great breakfast to start your day, while in Bregenz I went to see
some of the attractions, such as, floating stage on Lake Constance, St Gallus Church
St Martins trum, Gebhardsberg, cable car to Pfander mountain, I also hired a car and
drove around the Bregenzerwald wih its breathtaking scenery. This is a beautful place
in which I would dearly love to visit again, John, Dublin, Ireland.
