Austria Trend Hotel Congress Innsbruck

We just returned home today from a trip to Austria/Germany/northern Italy, and loved it. Part of that was because we stayed at the Hotel Trend Congress in Innsbruck, Austria. The people were wonderful, especially Nina at the front desk in the evenings. We were with a group, and she went above and beyond for people - extra towels, hairdryer, ice for people with bad knees, etc. Everyone loved her ! We also loved our wait staff - I believe it was Hans and Christian, but all were extremely nice.

The location was great - 10 minute walk to the old town square and many shops and restaurants. Directly across the street from the tram up to the top of the mountain - which I did and, although scared silly, enjoyed it so much. It was a beautiful trip up, down, and on the different levels, with places to have coffee and snacks.

Huge, modern bathrooms, unlike the usually small ones you find in Europe. Showers should have been mounted higher up on the wall, so you could actually stand "under" them, but the hand held was great for hair washing. Beds were comfortable (twins, which could be pushed together), and small sofa in room was great for relaxing.

We had dinner there most nights, and it was great, particularly the last night when they hosted a special dinner for us in the conference room downstairs. Outstanding ! Breakfasts were very good every morning with fruit, breads, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.

The only "con" I could say was that the paint on the walls was bumped into quite a bit and needed another coat, but because they used flat paint, of course every little thing showed. Would recommend a nice soft gloss, and these walls could be wiped down. A new coat of paint would freshen things up. There was a safe in the rooms and really good clost and drawer space.

Everyone in our group was satisfied with this hotel and would certainly use it again, if any of us get the chance to go back.

This hotel is within walking distance to the town center in Innsbruck. There is a supermarket next door if you want to pick up a few deli items and desserts for a picnic. The Inn river and bike
trail and pedestrian path is across the street making easy access for bike tour or hike.

Our group of 4 vsited Innsbruck eariler this year in May. Our experiene of staying in this hotel were great and remarkable. This is a very business-like fancy hotel with great facilities and window views. We stayed there for 2 nights.

LOCATION: This hotel was a little bit away, but still in walking distance, from the city. It is located right next to the mountain with a little river in between. A huge local supermarket was located right in a building right next to the hotel where you can get not only grocery items like water, pop, and snack, you can also get a very decent breakfast in a little cafe located right next to the supermarket areas.

SERVICE: the hotel staff members were very attentive and helpful. They seems very willing to provide us information that we need including landmark scheduel and shuttle services around those landmark in distance. Guests could also get Innsbruck cards, postcards, stamps, etc from the front desk.

ROOM: The rooms we stayed in were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and stylish. The window views were magnificant and stunning.

Overall impression: This is a very nice hotel which I think I will definitely revisit when I return.

Overall, the hotel is just ok. Location is a bit off from the city center, however right next to the tram station to go up the mountain. Room is spacious with semi-modern deco. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. Bus stops are close enough. My only complaint is wifi, I stayed on the 4th floor and the signal is very weak. I have to go to the lobby to get connected. (Goot value tho)

It was my second time at Austria Trend with my company for training and always was great. The hotel is rather new with spacious rooms, comfortable beds above all clean. There are comfortable training/meeting rooms with all facilities you need and a nice terrace for a break. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good with attentive, quick and friendly staff with a nice terrace as well. The hotel is well located near the old town just a couple of minutes by foot. The garage is rather tight and pricey as usual. All in all a nice hotel for a few days meeting, training and sightseeing and would recommend.

I was in this hotel last april.- The first impression is the lack of interest of the employees to help you.- You have to move your luggage by yourself.- Perhaps is too functional for my taste.- It is not in a good location, far of the center of the city.- I think that is not a tourism hotel it must rather be a hotel for businessmen.- The cleanliness is not less than average.- I certainly will not return to this hotel.-

This is a functional, no frills, contemporary style hotel 10 min away from Innsbruck city center. Unfortunately we had a very poor experience with the staff, who we found overall cold. But one staff member in particular, went the extra mile to be extra rude. When ordered a drink at the bar counter, I said at first "without ice" and immediately (3 seconds later) changed mind to "actually with ice please". Although the change of mind hadn't caused any trouble whatsoever, this woman snapped at me with an irritated gesture "with or without ice ?" literally barked at me. i was very taken aback. 1 hour later i was sitting in the (empty) lounge waiting for my husband. As we had gone through a 12 hours journey I was very tired, I had one leg resting on the very end of the coffee table, no shoes touching on the furniture, just the calf. Also, the table being very low (about 35 cm) this had zero impact on the "etiquette". Incredibly, this person take it as her duty to come to me and in a nasty manner to order me to take the foot off the table (I had NO foot on the table) - It was really unique.
Behind a business there is so much effort. The rudeness of one staff member, in this case named Denise, spoils the work of the entire team. Some people should really reconsider before working into "HOSPITALITY".
PS : Austria is wonderful.
