Checked into a nearby hotel and the front desk mentioned this place so we walked over a little after 7pm on a Wednesday.
The wait staff was friendly. We were going to sit out front along the sidewalk, but then discovered the biergarten so we sat our there.
There was a good crowd but still a few empty tables.
I had the Hirschragout and my wife had the Wienerschnitzel. Both were very good and quite a change from the food we'd been eating in Italy for the previous week or more. I love this type of food.
They also have some good beer selections if you're looking for more than the average lager.
We came back later the next night for a couple of drinks out in the biergarten. It was much quieter later at night but I imagine it can get busier on a weekend.

Passing through Innsbruck by car we stopped to get lunch and found this place at a small square. As there were no gastronomic sensations in the menu we both settled for burgers and beer. The burger came in a bun with plenty of fries on the plate.

The meal served its purpose and we both left happy after a good half hour with 25 € less than we arrived with.

We were looking for evening meal close to our hotel. A short walk and found this place. Great street side, inside and patio seating. We sat on the patio and dined on the Trivoli Tris- dumplings and ravioli. Sampled a local red wine and followed with apple strudel for desert. Great atmosphere, good service and priced reasonable for a downtown restaurant. Put on you list!

This restaurant was recommended by the IBIS Hotel and a good recommendation it was. Only a five minute stroll from the hotel, it served up traditional Austrian food. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the food excellent. Main course I selected was Goulash with Dumpling, followed by a Soured Cream Dumping and stewed Plums. Filling and apt for a cold, wet evening. Would return without doubt.

Simply a great place, with exquisite service - our special orders were served with a smile, and the traditional dishes were great ☺ if we come back to Innsbruck we'll visit Stieglbrau again .
