I lived for 2 years in Thailand, and I love Thai food but I'm always very disappointed of Thai restaurants in Europe.
This is the exception. The staff are Thai, and it was a real pleasure ordering in Thai and eating the "original" stuff.
The only things European about this restaurant are the prices. Can't have everything...

We stumbled into this restaurant. We tried it on a whim - and really loved it.

We started with the pot stickers. They were made fresh and delicious. The ultimate test, our kids who can be a bit picky, devoured them whole!

The Tom Kha Soup was absolutely fantastic. It was creamy and the vegetables retained their crunch. So good.

My husband had the ginger chicken and I had the green curry. The ginger chicken flavors were bright and the curry spicy! It paired beautifully with the Singha beer.

The kitchen was a little slow, hence the score on service, but it was well worth the wait!

A must try (again) in our book!

Hidden in the Universitätssrasse in Innsbruck you will find a very special place where you can find typical Thai food. Small, very personal Noi will cook every dish from the small card specially for you. I discovered the soup dishes again. And I'm loving them. I love all the fresh vegetables and the big shrimps or chicken mixed with all the fresh herbes and spices. The very friendly waitresse and owners made may very often visites a real delight! Keep going on like this, you made me love Thai food again. Ralph

My wife and I keep returning to Kijsana. We eat there at least once a month, sometimes much more, and we bring friends. We knew the owners when they ran Panithan, a hole in the wall 2 blocks away from the current location, and we were delighted for them when we saw that their success led them to move to a larger venue. It was also great for us - it meant better chances of getting a table when we called late to book!
The food is simply fantastic. I've never been to Thailand and I can't tell what is authentic Thai cuisine, but this certainly feels like it must be it. There are other Thai restaurants in town which just do not compare.
I almost always have the red Gaeng (I like spicy dishes) but I've had almost every item on the menu and it's all delicious. The veggies are perfectly crunchy (but cooked - don't worry), the meat is yummy, the sauces - if I could make a sauce half as good, I would open my own restaurant.
Go and make sure you specify how much spice you can handle. They mean business.
