I chose this hotel for its location. We stayed for two nights at the end of a driving trip around Austria. It really is central in the Altstadt. Having dropped our hire car off we walked to the hotel which was easy to find. You arrive in the restaurant but are then directed to the reception.

We had booked one of there larger rooms - a deluxe double. Unfortunately there were a number of issues with our original room - lighting and maintenance not cleanliness. The owner was quite slow sorting these out and only after some toing and froing were we offered an alternative room which we took. The new room was a bit larger than our original room (see photos), but both rooms had a balcony with a great view. Great bathroom! We were very happy with the new room - it would have just been better had we been offered it earlier as it was obvious that so late in the day they couldn't get a workman to deal with the issues in our original room. The beds were comfortable but the wifi was hopeless with slow speed and it frequently dropped out.

We had a lovely meal in their restaurant though and I would recommend trying it. Service was good and the food excellent. Breakfast on our first day was excellent too - there is a nice outside terrace and the service was excellent with eggs brought out and a good buffet. Our final morning though it was chaotic (the owner was away that morning it transpired when we checked out). Eggs that we had ordered never arrived and the buffet wasn't being replenished properly.

Stayed here with my family including wife and 3 children and were absolutely delighted with the visit. This hotel looks to be recently renovated as all fixtures looked very modern and the finishes were very clean. I have two regrets, first is that we didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant and the second is that we did not stay longer. The front desk and all other staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in all aspects. The cafe on the main floor was fantastic. I'm a bit of a coffee fanatic and was blown away by the machine they have which pressed out perhaps the best espresso I have ever had.

Location is second to none in Innsbruck, close to the main square but just off to the side a bit so that you don't feel like you are in too much of a hustle. Tons of food and cafe options steps away.

Do yourself a favour and stay at this phenomenal hotel.

We did very well in the 4 person family room. I think the other rooms are outfitted a little nicer - but for our short stay this met our needs of location and functionality. The Inn is rather spectacular - and the restaurant facilities are beautiful.

Would recommend - but advise that if you are traveling by car you have a full understanding of the approach to the hotel - as there is no onsite parking and you need to drive on what appears to be a pedestrian zone to drop off baggage and then park in a garage that is a short walk away.

The gentleman - who is either the manager or owner was exceptionally kind and helpful. The rest of the staff we weren't entirely sure about...

Had a lovely meal, served by a very friendly waiter who helped with translations of the menu. Added benefit of musical entertainment from a celebration in an adjoining room. Definitely worth a visit. Very pleasant bar on the ground floor.

Pros:
Location in old town
Large, clean rooms
Split bathroom facilities would be helpful for couples/friends traveling together
Huge breakfast buffet including eggs to order!
Well regarded restaurant/bar on site, yet I did not frequent
All staff were most helpful and friendly
Loved the room linens they use and the best pillows of my long trip!

Cons:
Wifi was poor
Few English speaking cable channels which becomes a bigger issue with a poor wifi connection
