“Cosy and Comfortable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2014

We are so happy we chose to stay in the Maximilian hotel in Innsbruck. While the room is not large it is very comfortable and cosy. It is spotlessly clean with a lovely reasonable size bathroom. The bed is so comfortable, the staff extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel is in a perfect location. We also have a good view from our room. Innsbruck is a pretty town and a trip up the mountain is a great experience. We would highly recommend Innsbruck and the Maximilian Hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed on the fifth floor with a nice view from the window.

This hotel is very clean and modern and the service is excellent. Centrally located in Innsbruck.

We booked two rooms on line for 98 Euro per room. Unfortunately this was for single occupancy so we had to pay an extra 21 Euro for my wife.

With that single caveat I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Explore the area behind the hotel, great restaurants and shops.

Well located in the old city, about a 15 minute walk from the railway station.

Efficient reception.

Room was not large - I had single occupancy of a double room and the bed took up most of the floorspace, but there was room to sit comfortably in a chair as well. Lighting could be adjusted to let you read in a chair or in bed. Safe, fridge/minibar. Odd wardrobe with one sliding door, so you had to decide which half of the contents you wanted to look at. I had asked for and been given a room on a high floor (5th) which gave me a view over buildings to the mountains beyond.

Decent shower room, separated from the bedroom by panels of mainly frosted glass (so those who worry about lack of privacy may be suffering from overactive imagination..., but then I was on my own); good White Company soap, shower gel, shampoo.

Clean, quiet.

Good breakfast in bright ground floor room. Lots of exotic fruit, cereal, cheese, cake. Friendly staff.

I'd stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors will have views over buildings to the mountains

We stayed for three nights, an early summer holiday. The hotel is very convenient, right in the town centre. Car parking is available locally, underground!
The room, though small, is very comfortable and, of course, clean.
A good selection of cereals, meats, cheeses, fruit and bread for breakfast with hot eggs and bacon.
Town centre noises start early, but that is the price to pay for staying in the centre!
We would stay here again!

The Maximilian is very well located near the river and just on the edge of the old town. It is a very friendly hotel and the reception staff were exceptionally helpful in advising on places to visit etc. The breakfast provides and amazing array of options and unless you want a large cooked breakfast the variety should please most people. The rooms are on the small side and the bathroom with the glass screen mentioned by others did lack a bit of privacy. However it was OK. For train travellers it is a short taxi ride from the station and there is a taxi rank opposite. Yes, I would stay there again if in Innsbruck but I might pay for a a larger room.
Our room faced a side street and when the window was open there was occasional noise late and night and early morning from passing revellers. But there is also air con.

Room Tip: Consider upgrading to a larger room than the standard Queen option.

Straightforward functional hotel that gives you a nice bed for the night In a convenient location. It must be great for skiers in winter but was a bit soulless in summer. That said, the breakfast was included, and excellent, and no complaints about value for money. It's true about the bathroom; we've been married for 25 years but had we come here as young lovers it could have been, er, awkward!

Room Tip: Higher rooms are quieter.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The staff is pleasant and the hotel is very well located. The room was a bit small but we choose a standard one. The parking is 5 minutes away in a shopping center. Breakfast is very good with a lot of fruit and attentive staff...
