Hotel has a great location, right in the center of all the tourist spots, restaurants and shops. It was a very busy area on the one Saturday night we stayed, and we were glad we had requested a quiet room at the back of the hotel - we had no problem with noise, despite the crowd outside. We stayed in a standard room which was small and basic, but the bathroom was fine and the shower was hot and had good pressure. The hotel itself is a pleasure to walk through, with lots of interesting antiques scattered throughout the halls - we loved reading about it's long history and famous guests in Rick Steve's guidebook. Overall, a good value, and for us, a much more memorable experience than comparably priced chains. Also, we each just had one small suitcase, and were able to walk from the train station with no problem.

We like small, homey styles inns and this fit the bill perfectly. This is an old place with a lot of character, right on the pedestrian walkway in Innsbruck Alt Stadt. The price was great and the breakfast was very good. Unfortunately we had a room on the top floor with a sloped ceiling. In the bathroom it was not possible to stand up straight at the sink, at the toilet or in the tub/shower. This meant sitting down or stooping over to take a shower and wash your hair. We asked about another room but they did not have anything else available so i would advise to avoid this room if at all possible! The other slight drawback is that you cannot drive up to the hotel to unload your luggage (only in early morning are cars allowed on the pedestrian zone). When we arrived we had to locate the parking garage and then walk with our luggage to the hotel. Arriving in the evening to a new city and having to navigate with your luggage is a bit of a challenge, but we knew this when we booked the hotel. The advantage was being right on the pedestrian zone. Overall a very nice place to stay and would definitely recommend it, but with a different room!

Room Tip: Avoid the top floor room with sloped ceiling!

Stayed here for a 3 day trip last December to the Christmas Markets (only reviewing now having finally signed up to Trip Advisor!). My partner and I absolutely loved this hotel, so welcoming and warm and the rooms are perfectly made up. Nothing lavish but the whole place had a great feel and the breakfasts were excellent! The location could not be better for exploring Innsbruck and the markets in particular - step outside to see the 'Golden Roof' and enjoy a warm mug of Gluhwein! Excellent value for money and well worth a visit!!

I would def recommwnd this small..very well kept hotel. This place has a special warmth..and small but cozy rooms.
Located in the heart of the old town..the restaurants..historical monuments is a stones throw.
Great experience...thank you to our travel agent Gloria frm swiss travel delight for arranging this!

Arriving with two small children, we were made very welcome and given an extremely spacious family room (double bed + sofa bed, shower & bath, separate WC), clean and beautifully furnished. We partly chose this hotel for the Mozart connection, and the period decor and Altstadt location made it highly evocative. Full-length windows give views of the Golden Roof and the mountains beyond. The breakfast was exceptional - generous and of excellent quality with plenty of variety. Right in the heart of town and close to bus and tram stops, this is a convenient choice but also one that feels like a treat without being prohibitively expensive.

Loved the hotel. The board at the entrance says that Mozart stayed there --there is a very cozy feel to the place. Very close to the attractions in Old Town. Golden Roof is right next door and so is the Swarovski museum. Tourist Information Office is a 5 minute walk. Staff is very courteous and friendly. No air conditioning though - not even a fan which was a bit of a problem as August was a hot month. Breakfast is quite filling and has a variety of breads/pastries/fruits.
The only downside was the loud noise/laughter at night which went on till 2 to 3 am since our room was facing the street. So troubled sleep sadly. But the hotel is clean and very well maintained and they even arrange for a taxi to take you to the station.
Loved the proximity to the tram line and the city centre.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the front of the hotel.

Historic hotel with a B&B feel! Nothing fancy and no air conditioning, but very clean with a courteous staff. The summer nights are cool, so the lack of air conditiong is not a problem. Free wifi! Good breakfast (included)! The location is excellent. Just a quick walk to all of the old town restaurants, town square and shops. I was on the 4th floor overlooking Herzog Friedrichstrasse, which can be a little loud on a weekend evening, particularly since I had the windows open, but it wasn't bad. You are not able to drive up to the hotel, since this street is no longer used as a throughfare, but it gives the area more charm. Overall good value and simple room! I would recommend it!
