“Paper cups!”

We cannot believe that the Hilton Hotel did not have porcelain cups in the room but gave paper cups! Every hotel we have stayed in, in Asia, Australasia and Europe have had porcelain cups but not this one. Amazing and not at all nice considering this has a prestige name and is not cheap to stay in.

Another thing-no free wi if only in lobby - disappointing.

I apologize for the inconvenience regarding the paper cups, as most of our guests like to take out their coffee, we changed it from porcellain to take away cups. Nevertheless I can urge you and every other guest just to ask for the porcellain cups, we will be at your service right away.

I stay several times a year in this hotel, now I report about December 2013.
This year there were several unpleasant cost saving measures implemented which is a pity.
As a consequence it is more like an US-Hilton than an European Hilton. Nevertheless it has several good sides.
This hotel has two room categories and suites. The better room category is on the higher floors, otherwise the rooms are the same. In the past one found mineral water and a bottle of wine in the room. Now I was told upon check-in that instead one can use a refrigerator in the lobby to get per person 2 small bottles of soft drink or water or beer. Upon request one gets a small rather ugly brown paper bag. This whole procedure saves the delivery of wine&water to the room but it makes an incredibly cheap impression ! I would suggest that at check-in the gues is asked what he wants (including wine) and then is handed a shopping-style bag with bottles water or wine or alternatively beer of soft-drinks. This procedure would be not prefect but less catastrophic. Other recent cheap features include paper cups for coffee in the room and the case of the strangely missing ice buckets even though the ice machines are still there. I wonder how much money these two issues save. Other thing is that the room service got more expensive.

The good sides of the place are :
Good breakfast with the cheerful Filipinas and the others are competent as well. I have always seen that this is a big plus and really appreciated by many guest. Competent and friendly front desk (Unfortunately the free HH gold/diamond upgrade from superior room to suite is constantly denied which is against the rules and the hotel did some tricks to remove it from the on-line upgrade list)
Big rooms, excellent location, sometimes good rates.

Alltogether the movement is downwards and the management stops this and makes the place more classy and Hilton-like.

Room Tip: All higher (8 and up, not only superior-room-floors) rooms have an excellent view.

This is a hotel I would stay in when I go back. The hotel is US grade with great service and a largggeee room by European standards. We liked everything about the room at this hotel ... very clean, comfortable, well made, excellent view of the Alps from a high rise ... and, top it, the hotel was very reasonably priced as compared to other similar ones in town.

To top it all, it's centrally located between the train station and Old Town and is perfect for those who like to explore the city on foot. We liked the vicinity to the train station (5-7 mins walk) as we could do our daily trips to nearby Tyrolean villages and peaks.

The hotel has a casino right next to it as well but we didn't get there. There are quite a few dining options as well close-by.

One note: the hotel's free wi-fi is limited to the lobby area. The lobby area would be a nice cosy place in the evenings with a lot of folks coming down for surfing. Depending on your preference, this may be a +ve or -ve.

In the center of Innsbruck,parking under the hotel not cheap!!.
No free wifi. Rooms like all hilton rooms clean spacious .
Beautiful view of mountains from room.
We got connecting rooms.good for families(we were five).

Very disappointing stay at the Hilton Innsbruck. Although the in-room dining folder lists a night menu, this is a blatant lie. No food whatsoever is available. There is no working kitchen at night, and this is not a temporary situation. Hotel staff were surprised and clueless when asked for orders from the menu over the phone. When approached directly at reception, it was admitted that this was a frequent complaint by customers.

I have stayed at many, many Hiltons in different parts of the world and rely on the brand as a guarantee of good service and reliable accommodation. This stay in Innsbruck really surprised me. Hiltons in places as diverse as New York and Addis Ababa were always up to scratch, but the Hilton in Innsbruck actively lies to its guests. I really wonder how its accreditation can be upheld.

.... unfortunately our "non-smoking" room smelt of stale cigarette smoke, fortunately we were able to open a window in our room and we were only staying one night. The staff and the breakfast were first class and the hotel is ideally placed for visiting the old town and the Christmas markets. Wifi was free in the lobby and the restaurant and not free in our room. If you are taking the F bus from the airport, the nearest stop is Triumphal Arch ("Triumphforte")

the hilton property is about 250 meters from the innsbrick station. Quiet, and efficient check in. The ice machines on each floor are very handy. View from the room is excellent. The break fast was excellent.
