“Great value in the heart of Innsbruck”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Great price on a hotel room that accomodates 4. When booking, we contacted the hotel to verify room capacities as the website only allowed 2 people per room. The rooms with 2 doubles do accomodate 4 people. In fact we were traveling with 3 children, and they were able to bring in an extra bed to accomodate the 3rd child. Even with the extra bed, the room was spacious. Great views. They offered breakfast at check-in which was cheaper than the pre-booking option. I think it was 15 Euro per adult, but the kids were free. For us, it was worth 30 Euro to feed our famiily of 5, and they offered more variety than any other hotel we've ever been to! Anything you can imagine, they had it for breakfast - and if that's not enough, you can get omelets to order or waffles made at no additional charge. 5 minute pleasant and scenic walk to the pedestrian zone. When a member of our group had an unexpected need to spend a few days at the hospital, the hotel was able to extend the room at the same great rate we booked, and they went out of their way to help in other matters as well. Had dinner in the steakhouse (same as breakfast restaurant) one evening, and it was very good and surprisingly reasonable. This was actually our 2nd time to stay here. Our last visit was 10 years ago. The hotel felt fresh and modern both times. Look no further, this is the best option for Innsbruck!

Good value for money, short walk to most attractions, bus, tram and train links. Ski hire shop just round the corner and bus to all ski slopes very close. Rooms good, ask for extra duvet, bedding etc if you need it. Breakfast very good. Staff very helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on high floors for excellent views - lifts are fast.

We stayed here overnight on our way to Cortina. The hotel is comfortable in the familiarity of the Hiton brand. The rooms are basic. We are a family with two children so the fit into the room was tight. The bathroom was clean. The downsize was the small sized bedding. The duvets were at best double sized which were inadequate for two people sharing a bed particularly on a cold night.
Room service was great and the breakfast was typical Hiton fare, very good and so much choice. Enjoyed the meal.
Staff were excellent, I had a cold and they were very helpful, offering to get medicine from the chemist etc.
It is not first class but quite good for a short stay with traditional Hilton expectations met.

Helpful staff whatever we asked, Courteous, friendly and so so kind. Went for short break, Room had a lovely view toward the ski jump. Close to the centre, service and facilities excellent. TRy the Bargain midweek buffet lunch! rated better than some 5 stars we have stayed in.

The hotel is nicely located to see the town and tour the area! Breakfast was plentiful too. But - the smell of smoke (probably from the casino) was really bad. My throat became sore and turned into a cold! Although everything else was fine about the hotel, if you are sensitive to smoke as I am, you may need to stay somewhere else!

We have just spent Christmas and New Year at the Hilton and without doubt, will spend the same holiday there in 2013! The hotel is really handy for all attractions/museums in the city, as well as the railway station at the end of the street. The reception and dining room staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, we had clean towels daily, and bed linen changed twice during our stay. Was surprised to read other reports saying rooms were cold........ we (and our friends in the room next door) often had to open the window because even with the heating turned off, it was still too warm! The breakfast (which we had pre-paid for) was fantastic - so much choice it was unbelievable. The only downside, as others have reported, was having to pay for internet access - at 15 euro for 24 hours we felt it rather expensive, when it has been free in every other hotel we've stayed at over recent years. Nevertheless - well done Hilton, we'll be back!

Hotel set up is a little dated, nothing special at the lobby area.

Room was spacious. We had a double room with extra bed. The existing double beds are already 4 feet beds, with the extra bed there is still room to move around quite comfortably.

Location is good, Innsbruck is a pretty small place, so you can walk from this hotel to the end of the town which is where the Golden roof terrace is.
