“dont miss it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

With almost everything closed on Christmas day we took the Nordkettenbahnen to the top and it could not have been a better day! Everything was open and the weather was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed playing around in the snow, having a nice lunch and just relaxing on top of the mountain. All of this with some absolutely stunning scenery. Even if you don’t ski, it is something not to be missed in Innsbruck.

“GREAT EXPERIENCE!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

This was my second visit to Innsbruck but the first time I did the Nordkettenbahnen. What an experience and what a fantastic view from the top. The tickets seems to be a bit expensive but it is worth paying the extra (take the full ticket) all the way to the top. The view is breath taking. While I stood there it started to snow and although it was freezing cold I did not want to go inside as it was so beautiful!
The cable cars are very modern and comfortable with very friendly staff operating all of them. To reach the top you need to change train/funicular/cable cars 3 times but it is all worth it!

“Great Views and a Nice Ride!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2013

We rode the Nordkettenbahnen all the way to the top, then took the 2 cable cars to the top of the mountain - what an adventure! The view was spectacular until the clouds moved in for the very first snowfall of the season. The snow was fun too! There were 6 of us and we ate a snack of hearty potato soup, whole grain, hearth baked bread and (of course) homemade apfel strudel at the little restaurant at the top before we played in the snow some more and headed down. We bought the Innsbruck Card, so the ride admission was included with several other venue admissions on the card.

“A step to the future”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2013

This futuristic lighttrain is a must for whomever is visiting the city. We had the chance to also ride it in the past but also on our recent trip and would sincerelly recomend it. It lead to one of Innsbruck's ski sites with a breathtaking view.

“Great views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

It is very easy to go to the Nordkettenbahnen as the ride starts almost straight from city center, right besides congress hall. It is worth going even if you are not going to ski as the view is absolutely beautiful.
