We went to this cafe&Patisserie to have sandwiches and desserts. They did not have a menu in English and the waitress did not bother much about telling us what was in the menu. So we chose two dishes from the german menu which happened to be a sandwich by chance and a plate of just plain sausages with the sourest herb and mustard aside. To be fair the kardinal cake was really good.

“Cute little cafe, excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

This is a lovely cosy place in the middle of the old part of Innsbruck. No English menu, but the waitress was very helpful and explained what they had. Tomato soup delicious and a huge variety of cakes. Perfect.

“Excellent coffee shop in a great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

We went here twice for a late lunch of cakes and hot chocolate. The cakes, as everyone says, are superb and the hot chocolate with rum is a real treat as it is a DIY experience ! It is frequented mainly by locals rather than tourists- especially at the weekend which makes it more interesting. The Kardinalsnitte cake was the best. It is conveniently located not far from the Tourist office in Innsbruck.

“Great coffee shop for late afternoon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

Stopped here to warm up after an afternoon of sightseeing. Had the hot chocolate which was well presented with a glass of hot milk, small cup of cream, shot of amaretto and a ball of chocolate and it was up to you to make it as you like it. Cakes looked delicious too.

“perfect spot for afternoon tea break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2012

Very Austrian experience! It was a lovely afternoon so we could enjoy sitting outside. The selection was good. The assistant behind the counter was very friendly and loved an excuse to practise her english! I had a passionfruit and mango torte, my husband had a chocolate mousse cake. Both very good. Kids had a spitzbueb each (cookie) which they devoured. Lovely little spot for an afternoon tea break and to people watch.
