“Just a roof”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2013

Come on, it is pretty, but it is just a roof. I adore Innsbruck, so pretty and people are so nice, but it remains just a roof.

“A symbol for the city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013

I have to say that the ambiance of the courtyard where the Golden Roof building is adds to the charm. The artwork on the building is impressive but I recommend taking a few minutes to go into the Golden Roof museum as we found out that the roof was actually completely hidden during the World War occupation and is a symbol of hope to Tyroleans. It makes it much more meaningful.

The golden roof looks pretty from the outside but the museum is awful and nothing to see inside .. the only good side is that the entry is included in the innsbruck catd

“Golden?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

Evenings is the best time to be at this lovely, charming and a lively square in Innsbruck. The square comes alive with young crowed from the local university gathering for fun, or a drink. Lots of cafe' serving Pizza, and Tirol food, to have with a glass of Beer. The most interesting part is the "Jugller" who entertains the crowd with his tricks, and not forgetting nice Frankfrutters with hot and spicey musterd sauce for your pallet. Golden roof, try guessing, if it is of Gold or..........!
In short a must place to be, when ever you are in Innsbruck.

“You must go in”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

Thousands of people take photos of this every day but if you pay to go inside you get a good introduction on the history of the balcony. You even get to lean over a barrier into the balcony - to see the lovely vaulting which cannot be seen from below. It is well worth it!
