“Innsbruck Golden Roof”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

The Golden Roof is a landmark in Innsbruck! It was constructed for Emperor Maximiliam I, and it's on the central plaza of Old Town. Since 2003, the Golden Roof has been housing the International Alpine Convention Office.
The plaza where it is located is a wonderful place to eat and walk. You can go to lots of stores, including the famous Swaroviski Cristal Store. To those who are Christmas fans, you can find there a Christmas Store with the beautiful decorated Christmas eggs.
So enjoy your visit!

“Inspiring attraction.”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Beautiful architecture and in the middle of areas for shopping, attractions, and people watching. A bit crowded but worth the experience of thinking about it's history.

“Delicious traditional Tyrolean food”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

We ate at the Goldenes Dachl around three times in our week in Innsbruck. It's a traditional guesthouse with a chef who really knows what she's doing. Great schweinsbraten and gulaschsuppe, friendly staff, and cozy and warm in cold weather!

“Interesting, but....”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

To be fair we didn't do much of a visit here, but it seems to be hyped more than it arouses interest. We understand the history and significance, but it just didn't capture us. But maybe tht was just us?!?

“Golden experience”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

It is quite an impressive sight to see, however, it is nothing more than a photo op moment. We sat at a nearby restaurant and enjoyed a few beers which allowed extra time to look at the additional artwork built around the roof in the attached building. This area was always busy, so it made for very fun people watching.
